~**~ Release Blitz for Booted (Trails of Sin #3) by Pam Godwin w/ Review ~**~

The night I’m released from prison, she’s in my bed.

It’s been eight years since I touched a woman, and the Native American beauty is half-dressed, beaten, bruised, and devastatingly exquisite.

We’re toxic together, but we want the same things. Blood. Vengeance.

Violent relief in a warm body.

Beneath her touch, I’m alive.

Against her skin, I’m redeemed.

Buried inside her, I forget the past.

Until the past takes her from me.

Prison made me cold, but losing Raina makes me cruel. Ruthless. Unforgiving.

I killed before. For her, I’ll kill again.

I’ll end this once and for all or die in my boots.

***5 ‘You're So Extraordinarily Beautiful It Pisses Me Off’ Stars***

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Lorne’s book and when I saw that Raina was to be the woman who’d bring him to his knees, well, that just amp’d up my excitement and I must say that their story, as well as the conclusion to the series, was all kinds of goodness! It had just the right balance of dark and sweet, smexy and heart and a conclusion to this dark and chaotic journey that was quite satisfying.

I adored Lorne and Raina. They have both suffered at the hands of greedy, soulless men and situations beyond their control and because of them have a dark hollowness living in them because of it, but they both also have their own unique code of honor that drives them to protect and avenge those they call their own by any means necessary. While broody and distant, Lorne does what he can to walk a fine line that won’t throw him back into the darkness because he doesn’t want to let down his family. Raina, despite all that’s been done to her, is all kinds of fiery and not afraid to stand up for herself and nor is she afraid to show compassion to those who need it.

To say that Lorne and Raina’s journey was a rocky one is an understatement. With both damaged and trust difficult to accept, these two butted heads many, many times. But even as they did, they both ended up being each others greatest champions as they learned to accept the new situations they found themselves in. The smexy between them was intense, but it was how they saw who the other was beneath all the walls they’d both erected around them that made it clear they were meant to be together, if only they dropped those walls and truly let the other in.

Trails of Sin was a fun series and I wish we didn’t have to say goodbye because I loved the interactions between them all and would have loved to see them grow together. But, it is what it is and I am more than happy with how everything turned out in the end.
