~**~ ARC Review: Double Down (All In Duet #2) by Alessandra Torre ~**~

***4 Stars***

Double Down starts off right where Even Money ended and things happen in such rapid succession that I needed to take a moment to process it all, and let me tell you there is a lot to process because things become even more convoluted than you can even imagine and what happened at the end of Even Money was just the tip of this crazy iceberg.

Now, I have to be absolutely honest and say that while I still loved Dario and Bell, I was more interested in the whole crazy suspense side of things than their crazy relationship. I think it comes down to the fact that unless one of them did die, they’d end up together, so while I liked seeing them become more to each other, sorting through all the crazy and getting the killer held most of my interest.

A bad thing? Eh, it’s all in perspective because I thoroughly enjoyed the crazy and watching it all unfold. While it did slow down towards the middle, not a bad thing just fact, I really liked how everything played out as all the pieces finally came together and I liked where things were at in the end, even though there was one thing I’d have done differently ~ but that’s just me.

The All In Duet was a fun read for me. I liked how the tone of Even Money was different than that of Double Down and while I wish I had gotten a little more into Dario and Bell’s romance, I really enjoyed the suspense side of things. The characters were all well written, and I will admit that I was absolutely fascinated by the baddie, but my fav was Laurent (and Septime) and wouldn’t mind if some day down the road we got to visit with them again *BSEG*

The stunning conclusion to the All In Duet...

In Vegas, there was one man who was off limits. One man... and I fell for him.

I knew there were risks. Still, I played the game. When Dario Capece called, I answered. When he beckoned, I came. When he broke all my rules, I looked the other way.

I knew there were risks. I just never realized they included death.

Note: This book should be read after Even Money (available now)
