~**~ ARC Review: The Upside of Falling (The Blue Line Duet #1) by Meghan Quinn ~**~

***4.5 ‘I Think You’re Mine’ Stars***

Ummm...what the…*Slowly puts the Kindle down so I don’t throw it as a plethora of curse words come out of my mouth that the beep is really just one long annoying sound with no breaks*?!?!?!

Yes, a cliffy was expected ~ it is a duet after all, but seriously??

Nope. No. Just...I we are just going to pretend that it doesn’t exist and move on.

(Why do I feel as if the author is giggling in devious delight right now at my reaction?)

*Time for deep, cleansing breaths*

Okay. I’m chill. I’m good. I hope.

This one was definitely a journey and the feels were all kinds of real. Not only with Colby and Rory’s journey together (as can be verified by the start of this review) but with them as individuals. Both are driven, focused and stubborn. So. Very. Stubborn. And that works for and against them, but has made them into the people they are, which are human’s with huge hearts. I will say that it took me a bit to warm up to both of t…

~**~ ARC Review: Shelter for Blythe (Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes #11) by Susan Stoker ~**~

***5 Stars***
All. The. Feels.

Not that I expected any less, I really didn’t, but Blythe and Sawyer seemed to make my heart swoon and break so many times throughout this book that I lost count, and that doesn’t even take into account the rest of the BoHTH crew and how they all rally in this one. This book was pretty much everything.

I adored both Blythe and Sawyer aka Squirrel. Blythe is strong, intelligent and despite all that she has gone through still has a heart of gold. After finding out all that she had been through I couldn’t help but admire the woman and loved watching as she worked through a whole myriad of issues to get back on her feet and take her future by the horns. Sawyer was all kinds of nummyness. He’s got that alpha AF thing going on and yet is man enough to know when to step to the side and not dictate on how one should do things, even when it drives him batshit crazy. He also has a few...insecurities that made it all at once easy to connect with him, even as I wante…

~**~ ARC Review: Double Down (All In Duet #2) by Alessandra Torre ~**~

***4 Stars***
Double Down starts off right where Even Money ended and things happen in such rapid succession that I needed to take a moment to process it all, and let me tell you there is a lot to process because things become even more convoluted than you can even imagine and what happened at the end of Even Money was just the tip of this crazy iceberg.

Now, I have to be absolutely honest and say that while I still loved Dario and Bell, I was more interested in the whole crazy suspense side of things than their crazy relationship. I think it comes down to the fact that unless one of them did die, they’d end up together, so while I liked seeing them become more to each other, sorting through all the crazy and getting the killer held most of my interest.

A bad thing? Eh, it’s all in perspective because I thoroughly enjoyed the crazy and watching it all unfold. While it did slow down towards the middle, not a bad thing just fact, I really liked how everything played out as all the piece…

~**~ ARC Review: Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan ~**~

***4 Stars***
“What are you doing to my daddy?”

That had me cracking up and making grabby hands at Mister Tonight because if that was just the beginning of things, then I really needed to see how everything else would play out between Kate and Hunter and I have to say their story was all kinds of fun and smexy goodness from start to finish.

Kate and Hunter were a lot of fun. Kate is sassy, sweet, snarky and though has a few insecurities, when she’s in the zone she’s all kinds of confident and has no problem speaking her mind. Hunter is cool, confident and all kinds of nummy. With charm and charisma in spades, the fact that he’s a wonderful parent is simply a bonus.

Their journey starts off with a big bang and an even bigger fizzle of that bang, but fate steps in and Kate and Hunter find themselves in very close proximity which has them spending a lot of time together and their chemistry was off the charts. They had a flow to their interactions that made it seem like they’d known each …

~**~ ARC Review: More Than Words by Mia Sheridan ~**~

***4.5 ‘I Followed A Feather’ Stars***
Well this one was a pleasant surprise.

I know, I know. That sounds horrible, but it’s the truth. I admit I had a few...assumptions as to how the story would go, but from the first page to the last maybe only one came to pass while the rest of the story was one that kept me turning the pages. It had the perfect balance of heat, heart, humor and drama without getting too angsty add to the mix a little historical fiction romance and two characters I couldn’t help but love, and you have what I would say was pretty amazing love story.

I loved Jessie. She’s strong, determined, resilient and has this light inside of her that, regardless of the situations she’d lived through, never died. It may have lost it’s vibrancy a time or two, but it never went away. Callan, I loved him, I did, but while the urge to reach out and hug him was strong, so was the urge to Gibbs smack some sense into him. I empathized with him and believe me when I say my heart hurt for…

***4.5 ‘Wait. Hold Up Just One Second’ Stars***
That ending...what...when…*big heavy sigh*

Okay, the ending is not the best place to start a review, especially when it will probably be all kinds of vague-non spoilery-verbal vomity (Warning you now) but, but I have so many questions now (please note that I am actually pouting while laughing as I write this)

Because seriously?!? WTF?

*Takes deep...DEEP breath...holds it...and let’s it out slowly*

Okay. Let’s do this semi-properly.

I don’t normally do mystery/suspense nowadays, but I’d been waffling over going for Jar of Hearts for a minute ~ I couldn’t get the cover out of my head and the blurb definitely peaked my curiosity ~  Then I saw the early reviews rolling in from other blogger/reviewers I follow and who tend to swim in the same opinion pool as myself and decided to give it a go because why not?

And I was hooked from the first page.

I was in that weird limbo where I wanted to devour it while wanting to savor each detai…
