Hot Stuff, an all-new sexy and swoon-worthy rom com from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is available now!

Have you ever seen a fireman whoās so insanely sexy youād actually consider DIY-ing a little at-home arson just so heād show up at your front door?
Dramatic, I know, but hear me out.
Chiseled hot body, bright blue eyes, and the sexiest smile Iāve ever seen, the first time I saw Garrett Alexander in my exam room, it took everything inside me not to do something crazy like mount him during his yearly physical.
Not only is he a total babe, but heās charming, hilarious, and the kind of single dad that would make your ovaries explodeāthe total freaking package.
I know youāre probably wondering, What in the heck are you waiting for, girl? Go get yourself a fireman!
But, see, thereās one teeny-tiny (read: huge) problemāif we got together, weād have to keep our relationship a secret.
I know. Who even am I? Some heroine in a freaking forbidden romance novel?
Let me guess, now youāre probably thinking...Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Donāt do it, girl. Donāt fall for the sexy, off-limits man. Itās not worth it.
Well, too late. I already went and did it.
And I have a feeling this fire of ours is going to go up in a big, mushroom-cloud-worthy, ball of figurative smoke.

This book was ALL KINDS of snort laughing, smexy and sweet, twitterpating heart, awkward moments and cheeks hurting from all the grinning goodness from start to finish. It really was. Ok..there were a couple of āmmmhhhmmmā moments, but really, they only made the goodness that much better and I hate the fact that there are no more words because I didnāt want to say good-bye to Garrett, Lauren and the rest of the crew.
Truth: I ADORED Garrett before even diving into this book. ADORED and that is all thanks to Single Dad Seeks Juliette. He was so awesome in that book, that I was lowkey stalking the author to ensure I wouldnāt miss his book and all this book did was make me love him even more. He is a real good man in every way that counts. And Lauren. She is all kinds of sweet, sassy, kinda quirky and awkwards at time, but with a really good heart. She cracked me up the entire time and I seriously want to be besties with her.
Their journey was so much fun to be on from start to finish. Iām not all too sure how to classify their first meeting because Iām not Iād call THAT a āmeet-cuteā but it was totally unique and unforgettable. As for the rest of it, it was hard to not fall absolutely in love with them as couple from the start. They had that āthingā that had me rooting for them from the start ~ especially after that first date, which was also unique and unforgettable. As for that whole āsecret relationshipā thing. When it happened I was like āWHOAā, yeah...k BUT it wasnāt as crazy as I thought it would be and that all worked out the way it was supposed to and I loved how everything worked out for Garrett & Lauren in the end.
I gotta say, this was a fun read. Truly fun read. The angst is low, the awkward kinda OTT moments are hilarious and all of the characters were so much fun ~ though Bethany did have her moments. I loved catching up with Jake and Holley and Chloe. Holley cracked me up. Sarah and Hayden ~ Garrett and Bethanyās kids were so much fun (toes are crossed that once they get a little older theyāll get their own books) and it was fun to meet Laurenās family.
Now, I was wondering who the next single dad was gonna be since there wasnāt really anyone mentioned in the book...and then I read the extended epilogue. OMG!! You NEED to make sure to snag that baby at the end (itās a book funnel thing) because the ovaries just went all kinds of happy (again, cause, Garrett) and I cannot WAIT to get to know Rhett!

Suddenly, the door to Garrettās room cracks open, and he peeks his head out, damn near startling me into another dimension.
Noticing my hysterical jump and defensive pose, he quiets his voice to a whisper. āSorry to, um, startle you. I justā¦ Iām ready.ā
āOf course. Yeah.ā I nod feverishly, follow him into the room, and take a few discreet, calming breaths to slow down the rate at which my heart is sprinting inside my chest. Honestly, for a woman who did gymnastics in her childhood, youād think my cardiovascular system would be able to tolerate adrenaline a little better than this. A minor startle from a hot fireman and Iām panting like a dog in heat.
His gown covers everything, but itās strangely anticipatory and it feels like Iām seeing more of him than I should. Itās weird and odd and completely irrational. So, I shut my eyes for a brief moment and force myself into doctor mode.
āJust take a seat on the exam table, please,ā I instruct him with a gesture of my hand.
He does without question.
Then I start my assessment.
First, his vital signs. Blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
All good. All within normal limits.
Next, with my stethoscope, I listen to his heart and lungs and abdomen.
Also, good. Steady, strong, clear.
āAm I going to live to see another day, Dr. Lauren?ā he asks once I finish a quick reflex check, smirking up at me from his spot on the exam table, and I canāt not return his expression with a grin.
āYes, it appears that you will,ā I answer and make a few notes in his chart. āNow, if you donāt mind, please stand up in front of the exam table so I canā¦uhā¦checkā¦yourā¦uhā¦te$ticles.ā
Okay, Lauren. Be cool. Be. Cool. Itās just another day at the office, and Garrett is just another set of anatomy...
