***5 Stars***I was all kinds of excited to get my hands on this book…I love the Rose Canyon crew and I have a thing for the whole “Surprise! You have a kid” situation and seeing how the people involved work through it all. But I knew I’d end up loving it because I was kinds of sniffly and teary eyed before I was halfway through the first chapter, and I wasn’t proven wrong. This book has its sweet and fun moments, but it also has moments that stop your heart ~ and not in the happy twitterpated kind of way ~ but in the end, I loved watching Sophie and Holden fall in love and find their HEA.
I adored Sophie and Holden. Sophie is strong, loyal and caring. Considering all that she has been forced into, she finds a way to not lose her head and do what needs to be done for Eden and her own safety. Holden is committed, determined and follows his gut. I loved how he rolled with everything and did all he could to be a rock and a soft, safe place to land for Sophie and Eden.
Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of slow burn goodness. I loved watching them get to know each other and fall in love under very unique and slightly stressful circumstances. They had a great flow and with Eden added into the mix, well, it was hard not to fall in love with them falling in love.
This was a great read. It had a little bit of everything and a few surprises tossed into the mix. There are triggers and some brutal moments, if you’ve read the first two books, you’ll know what’s going on. On that point, I did guess who was behind things, totally surprised me that I was right, but it happens once in a blue moon. But I loved hanging out with the Rose Canyon crew and seeing how they were all doing in their relationships, though Mama James is the bestest of them all. And though this is the ending of this series, I am very excited to be heading to Sugarloaf next and cannot wait to meet everyone there!
