I do love me some Whiskey’s and Wicked’s and just the Dark Knights in general, so I should come as no surprise that I was all kinds of excited to get my hands on this baby and I thoroughly enjoyed being back on Redemption Ranch and watching Cowboy and Sully come together and get their HEA.

I adored both Cowboy and Sully. Cowboy is a protector and at times, overprotective AF, but he comes by it honestly and openly admits it but he will bend - a little - when his overprotectiveness may actually be more harmful than not. Sully was a rockstar. She was in purgatory but didn’t lose who she was at her core and I loved watching as she fought to find out who she was and who she wanted to be.

Their journey to their HEA was definitely a journey. There was a bit of ‘insta’ in there, but I enjoyed watching as they both got to know each other and how they saw who the other was and truly liked each other. And while the one ‘bump’ in their journey is one of my least favorite things one could do to/for another, I do love that they got the HEA they both deserve.

This book is filled with triggers, there was no way it couldn’t be based on all that Sully had endured, but it’s also filled with lots of humor and heart and I really just love how everyone rallies around each other and does their best to do the right thing. There were a few cameos that made me all kinds of happy, but just getting to hangout at Redemption Ranch and get to know everyone better was all kinds of fun and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!
