~**~ Release Blitz for The Trouble with Runaway Brides (Lake Starlight #3) by Piper Rayne w/ Review ~**~

The Trouble with Runaway Brides by Piper Rayne is now live!

I should not still be hung up on my high school girlfriend.

I’m a billionaire, with a penthouse in New York City, a private plane, and was recently crowned one of Manhattan’s most eligible bachelors.

She’s engaged to my rival. A real prick of a guy whose family is about as famous as mine. So, pictures of the happy couple are plastered everywhere, and it’s driving me insane.

The last time I spoke to her was my freshman year of college, and I never imagined I’d bump into her at a crowded restaurant in the busiest city in the world. But fate had other plans, and when I innocently suggest that the press wouldn’t bother with her wedding plans if she held it in our small Alaskan town where we grew up, I had no idea she’d take me seriously.

Now, I find myself helping her plan the wedding at my dad’s luxury resort while the town’s gossip app follows our every move, afraid that their golden boy will get his heart broken twice by the same girl.

But that’s impossible because she stole my heart when we were fifteen, and never gave it back.

***4 Stars***

I’m always a bit weary when it comes to love triangles, but I enjoyed the first two books in the series and figured, if nothing else, I’ll get to hang out in Lake Starlight and catch up with people.  But in the end, I really enjoyed this book, there was a bunch of eye rolling, but I found myself invested in Lance and Kenzi and needed to see what it would take to get them to confront and then move past the past and fess up to their feelings.

Now, I really liked Lance and Kenzi, I did. I think that they are both good people, but my eye hurt from all the rolling they put me through. The denying of their feelings was expected, but there were things they did and put up with that had me wanting to toss my Kindle into the freezer for a time out (and not because the smexy was too hot to handle ~ though when they figure things out, they are pretty hawt). But everyone has a journey and theirs was a rocky one. Thankfully they have people around them that only want the best for them and finally help them see that they belong together.

This, despite the frustration, is a great addition to the series. Part of my enjoyment was the secondary storyline with Brinley and Easton and how they work through their issues from the past. And while I’m totally looking forward to Easton getting his own HEA, it looks like I’ll have to be patient considering what else happened in the Bailey clan.
