~**~ Release Blitz for The Target (Redemption Ranch #4) by Lena Hendrix w/ Review ~**~

Release Date: December 16 All I wanted was a break from my small town life.  Not to be stuck driving across the country with my older brother's gorgeous, infuriating best friend.   Charming, cocky federal agent Scott Dunn is back in my life. And I hate him. Four years ago, Scotty was the center of every one of my fantasies. He was funny, kind, and eleven years older than me–a protector. But one ill-timed confession and he vanished from my life without so much as a goodbye. Now I am called to testify against the men who kidnapped me and the gorgeous, infuriating man I tried so hard to forget is assigned to protect me. I want answers and he refuses to give them. But as much as he claims to hate me too, I see the way his eyes linger on my skin. How his hands itch to reach out. He understands me in a way I’ve never let another man get close enough to know. My scars, physical and emotional, are a constant reminder of the girl I used to be. A girl I try to forget. As we travel acr...

~**~ ARC Review: A Good Day for Chardonnay (Sunshine Vicram #2) by Darynda Jones ~**~

***5 Stars*** I was all kinds of excited to get back to Del Sol, New Mexico to not only hang out with the very eclectic mix of characters that reside there but to see how certain relationships would evolve and if any new revelations would surface in certain situations and I was disappointed. I laughed out loud, rolled my eyes, swooned a bit and even got all teary and sniffly ~ which I was not expecting ~ and just enjoyed my time there and cannot wait to get back, especially with how things ended. As for Sunshine herself. I have to say that I really like the woman. She’s snarky, sweet, vulnerable and loves her family deeply. And speaking of family, Auri was awesome! She had her moments ~ some of them big ones ~ but I love how she is simply a good person who sees way more than most people understand. As for the other residents. Levi is frustratingly yummy. Quincy is hilarious. Cruz and Sybil was just as awesome as Auri and add in Zee, Poetry, Salazar, Hailey...well, there are enough uniq...

~**~ ARC Review An Invincible Summer (Wyndham Beach #1) by Mariah Stewart ~**~

***4 Stars*** The title was the lure and once I read the description my curiosity was peaked because I am a sucker for small towns and second chances and this book definitely gave me all of that and more. I was hooked from the first chapter and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this cast of characters and cannot wait to see what happens next. As for Maggie. I have to say that I really liked her. She’s had a good life, but her world has gone sideways a few times, but each time it has she’s found a way to get her life back on track and make good things come of it.  This is my first read by the author, and my first women’s fiction in a very long time. I do tend to stick primarily within the romance realm, but this book worked for me on a lot of levels. The story was engaging, well written and the pacing was good. The different POV’s were well done and I liked how they gave the story a lot more depth, even as they introduced another plot to the series as a whole. As for the characters...

I don’t have time for a former debutante with zero street smarts and a cash flow problem, even if she is crazy beautiful. Problem is, she’s stranded in my small town, and I’m hiding a protecti...
