***4.5 ‘Ultimate Checkmate’ Stars*** I’m a little all over the place with this one, not in a bad way at all, in fact the wonky is more about what I can put in this review vs. what I want to put in it but can’t because the whole non-spoilery thing is in full effect for various reasons. So first Magnolia and Moses I freakin’ ADORED these two. It’s really that simple. I loved that they were both “seasoned” by life and were totally living their truths. They gave each other 100% of who they were ~ the good, the bad and the ugly ~ no holds barred and not only respected each other for it, but ended up becoming even stronger for it as individuals and as a couple and the love was real. ***5 ‘Legend and Scarlett’ Stars*** The way things were left at the end of House of Scarlett had me needing to know just how Legend and Scarlett would deal with that little...twist in their plans. It also had me a bit worried because, well, it was a total ‘whoa’ kind of situation and while I had the utmost trust in the author to give me an amazing conclusion to the trilogy, I also know that sometimes things go sideways. So with all of that going on in my head, I crossed my toes and dove in and I have to say that this book gave me everything. From start to finish is was sweet, smexy, funny and intense and had quite a few plot twists I didn’t see coming at all, but totally worked for me when everything was said and done. Scarlett and Legend were everything in this final installment to their HEA. They had me swooning, laughing and needing a really, REALLY cold shower all throughout the book, but mostly they had my heart going all kinds melty because I loved how they were each ot...

***5 ‘I’m Learning You’ Stars*** Oh. Baby. Okay. I was definitely wondering which way things would go after the way The Fall of Legend ended and I have to say I wasn’t expecting things to go the way they did, but I thought it was pretty spectacular in more ways than one. So, much comes out of it on all levels that it kicked this story up a couple notches ~ and just when it came to Legend (I’m having a difficult time calling him Gabe...anyone else??) and Scarlett. So, the leading MC’s. I loved how things played out with them in every way in this installment. The chemistry between them is there and simply watching them evolve ~ for better or worse ~ was a lot of fun. Lots happens in this one ~ the good, the bad and the ugly ~ and there are a few people I want to gut with a spoon, but outside of THOSE people, I am absolutely loving this cast of characters. Flynn and Zoe are my fav’s thus far, but it’s hard not to love the people who love and rally around Legend and Scarlet...

***5 Stars*** And I’m all in once again. Not that is any surprise since I do tend to fall down the rabbit hole with this particular author in one way or another, but from the first page to the last I was hooked and am definitely looking forward to seeing all the crazy that Legend and Scarlett will not only put themselves through, but be put through by others, to get their HEA. So, this is a trilogy which means we only get a taste of what’s to come, but what I can say is that I loved Legend and Scarlett. (Though I wanted to reach into the kindle many times in the first half of the book and shake some sense into Scarlett ~ but thankfully that urge faded in the last half)  Both are so much more than they appear to be on the surface and despite their difference in social status, they have quite a few similar traits that make it easy to see how they could have more if given the chance. ***5 ‘Don’t Promise Me Heaven, Then Put Me Through Hell’ Stars*** GAH! So. Damn. Good! It was so good that my cheeks hurt from all the grinning I was doing, though there were a few teary eyed sniffles going on as well, but overall it was a fun, quick read that made me all kinds of happy when everything was said and done. Cannon and Drew. I will admit that I absolutely adored them together as they finally found themselves on somewhat solid ground, but if you were to ask who I like more? Honestly, Cannon totally stole the show in this one. Not to say that Drew didn’t have her moments, because she did, but Cannon was simply everything and I loved watching him take charge and be the man he was always meant to be.
