***4.5 Stars*** After meeting Scout in This Much is True and finding out all that he had been through, I definitely needed to see the man get his HEA because he really deserved it and I have to say that it was all kinds of sweet, smexy and adorable small town goodness.  I loved Scout and Daisy. Scout is a really good man. He has this way of looking at the world that has a very positive bent, sometimes he does do things to get his own way ~ so he is a bit sneaky ~ but his heart is in a good place. Daisy was a sweetheart with some fire to her that even she doesn’t always see. She knows what she wants to do with her life, and wasn’t afraid to go after it. Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun to experience. Scout and Daisy have a flow to them that stems from the fact that they are friends and as that friendship becomes more it was even more apparent that they could be something one day. ***4 Stars*** This baby took me on a ride I wasn’t expecting. I figured there would be some emotional upheaval going on, how could it not with a kid involved (a really cute, sweet one btw) but the other stuff...yeah, wasn’t expecting that, though it did keep me turning the pages to see how everything panned out, but this one hell of a ride. I really liked Hope and JR. Hope is something of an enigma. She’s got this innocence about her, but she’s also worldly. It’s an intriguing mix that had me wanting to know more about her. And then there is JR, he is a bit of a grump, but considering what happened to him, I couldn’t blame him one bit. But once you push that to the side, you get a man who is simply a good man, who loves deeply. ***4.5 ‘Possibility & Opportunity’ Stars*** You know how I tend to say in many of my romance reviews that it was a ‘journey’? (and to be honest it is an apt description for the mass majority of them) Well, When With Rome really is a journey on a romantic level as well as a life level when it comes to Rome and Carlene. The sweet is swoon worthy, the smexy is HAWT, but it was the light bulb moments that Rome and Carlene experience that kept me turning the pages to see how their HEA came to be. I really liked Rome. He was sweet, compassionate, smexy as all get out and simply a good man. He may have a job that is outside of the norm, but he has a unique code of honor when it comes to it and there is a sincerity that shines through in everything he does. Carlene is a tough woman. ***4 Stars*** There was something about the description of this book that hooked me (I know, I know just work with me). I’m not sure if it was just the flow of the words, or what, but my curiosity was peaked and I really wanted to find out about Benson and Danni-Rose and I have to say I’m happy I took the bait *BSEG*. Break the Line was a quick read was filled with some really great moments and lots of heart. Danni-Rose is a force of nature and she and I had an interesting time of it. She loves hard and fierce, has a lot of moxie and can be an immovable wall when she wants to be and I loved that about her, but it was that wall that had me getting frustrated with her. I understood it, I empathized with her ~ hell I even got teary over it ~ but it was definitely a thing that she needed to come to terms with in order to truly live. Benson was such a good guy. ***5 ‘Insufferable’ Stars*** Taboo Treat? Um yeah and one I absolutely DEVOURED! I started it at the beginning of my lunch hour and I went just a tinsy bit over by doing the whole “Oh it’s just two more chapters” because there was no way I was going to even attempt to pretend to put it down when I knew I was going to pick it right back up. It was a little dirty, a little smutty, hella smexy and had just enough heart thrown in there to make it absolutely addicting. Without spoiling anything, which does include using the names of the characters (unfortunately), I have to say I really enjoyed this May/December story because unless the age gap was brought up by the MC’s I tended to forget that there was one because the chemistry between them was hot and once things really started revving up, there was a flow to their budding relationship that just worked for me and had me wanting them to be together in the end and flip the double bird to all the haters. ***4 ‘My Universe Sparkles’ Stars*** This book, these characters ~ specifically Lexi and Brad ~ drove me up the wall and yet I never felt that urge to toss my Kindle into the freezer. I was sucked in from the beginning and actually enjoyed the many ups and downs of the story as a whole, even when it felt like my eyes would fall out of my head because of all the rolling they were doing. Hangry is a sweet, smexy and frustrating ride, but filled with a lot of laughter and heart. Even though Brad and Lexi drove me batshit crazy throughout the entire book, I couldn’t help but really like them when they weren’t pushing me to the edge of insanity. Brad is that person who has a good heart and isn’t afraid of working hard, but he’s also one that tends to overthink things when he should take action, but when he does take action he goes all in and is a force to be reckoned with.
