~**~ ARC Review: A Good Day for Chardonnay (Sunshine Vicram #2) by Darynda Jones ~**~

***5 Stars*** I was all kinds of excited to get back to Del Sol, New Mexico to not only hang out with the very eclectic mix of characters that reside there but to see how certain relationships would evolve and if any new revelations would surface in certain situations and I was disappointed. I laughed out loud, rolled my eyes, swooned a bit and even got all teary and sniffly ~ which I was not expecting ~ and just enjoyed my time there and cannot wait to get back, especially with how things ended. As for Sunshine herself. I have to say that I really like the woman. She’s snarky, sweet, vulnerable and loves her family deeply. And speaking of family, Auri was awesome! She had her moments ~ some of them big ones ~ but I love how she is simply a good person who sees way more than most people understand. As for the other residents. Levi is frustratingly yummy. Quincy is hilarious. Cruz and Sybil was just as awesome as Auri and add in Zee, Poetry, Salazar, Hailey...well, there are enough uniq...

~**~ ARC Review: Trouble by Tia Louise ~**~

***4 Stars*** I think I was done for this weekend with reads that were going to do my head in because as much as Spencer and Joselyn fascinated me, they also gave me a huge case of whiplash.  I mean. OMG… So here’s the thing. Both Spencer and Joselyn care hard about those they call their own and have no problem jumping into the frey when necessary and I adored that about both of them. But what drove me batshitcrazy and yet fascinated me was how they were so adamant about the lines they’d drawn for themselves but kept breaking at every turn and to be very honest, I got why they did. The chemistry between them was electric and they had that “thing” that just worked for me, but lemme tell you, the push/pull was real in this one...my neck can totally attest to that. While Spencer and Sly took me on a ride, I loved catching up with Daisy, Scout & Melody (I ADORE Melody btw), JR & Jesse, Alice and Regina as well as meeting Courtney, Ollie and Tom. (I kinda wish there was more of ...

~**~ ARC Review: The Protector (Barrett Boys #3) by Jordan Ford ~**~

***4.5 Stars*** I must say, this author really does know how to make you want to get your hands on the next book in the series. As this is the first series/books I’ve ever read by her, I’m not sure if this is her norm, but man...that tease at the end of The Fighter had me making grabby hands at this baby and I wasn’t disappointed. I was hooked from the start and definitely experienced all the feels as I turned the pages and, yes, that ending has me needing/wanting/making grabby hands at the next book in the series. But until then...Brody and Indigo aka Indy. I adored Brody. Talk about being a good guy. Charming, a little quirky and sweet. After all he’s been through, Brody is still has this light to him that draws you in and makes you want to know more. Indigo is sweet, snarky, determined/stubborn and has walls around her a mile high, not that I blamed her. While she lives a privileged life, and knows it, she just wants to live a life outside of the spotlight and find people who cared ...
