***5 ‘To The People Who Feel Like Sunshine’ Stars*** While reading the tease aka the first 12 chapters of Storm in My Night With a Rock Star , I kept thinking “Ok. I’m feeling this. I’m liking Storm and Lotus” so my interest in their journey kept growing and then the first twist hit and I went “Hmmmmm”. But then the next couple of bombs that were dropped had my head spinning and I’ll admit that I waffled between wariness and intense curiosity as to how everything would end up playing out...especially with all that happened in that 12th chapter. Well, curiosity won out (no surprise there) ~ though the whole 66 chapters + epilogue thing did have me going ‘Whoa” and in the end I have to say that this baby was all kinds of goodness. It was a fun, sweet and smexy read with a whole lot of heart and just the right amount of drama/angst to keep things interesting right up to the very end. I ended up adoring Storm and Lotus, they both had me growling in frustration at times, but I still adored ...

***4 Stars*** Gale and Jo. I knew that despite everything that went down with them, they still had a ways to go with finding even ground and let me tell you, it was a bumpy ride. The whole push/pull “I’m going to do this because I love him…” thing Jo had going on drove me batshitcrazy ~ not gonna lie.I understood the why behind it, but I was really happy when those blinders finally came off. But I loved Gale’s response to it every single time. ***5 Stars*** I’m emotionally drained. Not that it comes as a surprise. All of the books in the RFC series have been emotionally trying in one way or another. Nor is it a bad thing because all it means is that I was invested ~ even if it was at the detriment to my sanity ~ and boy was I ever invested. Josephine and her Man did me in. I loved and adored them, but they did a number on my heart. The guilt, grief and fear that rolled off of them was almost suffocating at times, but they both found ways to keep going. Not all were the best of ways, but they did end up finding each other and I loved how they just flowed when they were just Josephine and ‘him’. They put each other through a lot, but from the moment I saw them collide in RFC #4, I knew they were it for each other. I was told by the author to ‘hold on to my lei’ before diving in, not that I needed to be told considering how crazy RFC #3 left me, but a reminder is always welcome when heading into this world. ***5 ‘#TeamDiesel’ Stars*** Now that’s how you bring all the pieces together and put them back together the way they should be! It wasn’t easy, and still just as frustrating as watching the events in High Tide, but this time I was hooked on all that was going on with Hollie and Diesel and absolutely loved watching them both finally become the people they were always meant to be. So, my review for High Tide was insanely vague, but considering who is gracing the cover of Island Side, I figure I can be a little less vague. Since it’s quite obvious which...horse...I was rooting for, I can say that I ADORED Diesel. Yes, he is an unrepentant asshat for much of the time I’ve ‘known’ him, but I couldn’t help but respect the brutal honesty that came out of him. Could he have been a bit more considerate and tactful? ***4 Stars*** Seriously?!?!? THAT’s where things are left at?? UGH… Well, at least the conclusion is just around the corner, but still… Anyways...moving on. So, with this being a duet I’m going to keep this one uber-vague (#sorrynotsorry) because so much happens, and doesn’t happen, that if I do my typical review I will probably slip and spoil something and I don’t want to do that...Hollie, Max and Diesel. These three gave me a run for my money. I loved them, I rolled my eyes at them, I hurt for them and there were moments (more than one) where I wanted to Gibbs smack them, but they all had me wanting more.
