***5 Stars*** It’s been a minute since I read Birdy, but I freakin’ loved it, so when life happened for the author and the voices just weren’t playing nice and Arcangel kept getting pushed back, I was disappointed, but fully understood and knew that things would all work out in the end. And they have, in a big way. While I will admit that I didn’t go back and read Birdy, nor did I look at my review for the book, as I was reading I “remembered” things and can honestly say that I did feel like I had a better understanding of Bennie, Angel and Andres…at least at this moment in time as this is only book 1 of what is now a trilogy. But it’s hard to not love Bennie. We get to see her at her lowest, but also at her most fierce and she is truly a force. As for Angel and Andres…for me, on the surface, they are night and day, but they have their own “gray” areas that call to me for various reasons. What does that mean? Simple. ***5 ‘Re-Associated’ Stars*** When I read a tease of this book, I immediately made grabby hands at it. When the author stated that classifying this book was a bit difficult since it could be looked at as a dark romance, but not really since there is no HEA...I was intrigued. After basically devouring it, I call it absolutely fascinating! There are dark elements in it and there romance elements in it, but it’s not really either...it’s a bit of everything and it all surrounds the very compelling Vayla and the crazy, beautiful chaos of her mind. I loved Vayla. There is a quiet kind of strength to her and an acceptance of all the pieces that are apart of her and how they make her whole, but also break her apart in equal measure. How she flows with it all fascinated me in every way and despite knowing that there was no HEA, I was still crossing my toes that there could be a way because she deserved one. ***5 Stars*** I gotta say I loved this book...but, as with most duets, I can only say so much. So what can I say about this baby? I loved Birdy aka Bennie aka al Jefa. This woman is perfectly imperfect and embraces it all. She’s sassy, intelligent and stubborn. She has her faults, and is well aware of them and how they could end up being her downfall, but once she makes a decision, she sticks to it. As for the romance side of things...we have Andrés and it was hard not to love the guy...really really hard not to because he’s got that alpha good man thing going on and it was potent, but then there is Arcángel, he falls on the other side of the coin and is just as potent. While the ending isn’t one of those “OMFG” cliffies, it definitely has me wishing Arcángel was on the kindle now because things are about to get all kinds of interesting for Birdy and I cannot wait to see just where everyone will end up when everything is said and done! ~ Copy provided by the author...

***5 Stars*** Venom kinda blew my mind with how the author took the Peter Pan story and gave it a really, REALLY interesting twist, one that even I couldn’t have imagined, and it also left me NEEDING more of the Rosewood world and the characters that inhabit it, and Lost Girl gave me all that I was hoping for and more, and has me making grabby hands at the next book in the series. I adored Wendy and Tavi. Wendy’s entire world has been turned upside down and tossed sideways, and yet, she doesn’t totally breakdown. She finds a strength inside her that even she didn’t know she had and found a way to take everything in stride. Tavi is all kids of book boyfriend goodness! This man is sweet, compassionate and loyal. He goes with his gut and doesn’t back down from anyone (well, with maybe one exception). Tavi and Wendy’s journey to their HEA was a lot of fun.
