~**~ ARC Review: The Warrior (The Barrett Boys #5) by Jordan Ford ~**~

***4 Stars*** While I’m sad to say goodbye to the Barrett Boys, this was a great send off for the brothers, their family and the series. It had a little bit of everything I love when it comes to reading and then some. I loved and Ashlyn and Cooper. Ashlyn was sweet, a little snarky, a little insecure, but full of determination when it came to following her heart. Cooper is protective, hard working and just an all around good man, though he did have a huge dose of the “They are better off without me” thing going on.  Their journey to their HEA was definitely fraught with a good dose of drama in many ways, but when it came to them working out their shared past and feelings for each other, I really enjoyed being along for the ride. A lot of what I liked was that they had a shared past, they had this teenage, summer break love thing going on and it had me rooting for them to work things out so they could get that chance at an HEA. Now, there were quite a few roadblocks in this one, but...

~**~ ARC Review: The Protector (Barrett Boys #3) by Jordan Ford ~**~

***4.5 Stars*** I must say, this author really does know how to make you want to get your hands on the next book in the series. As this is the first series/books I’ve ever read by her, I’m not sure if this is her norm, but man...that tease at the end of The Fighter had me making grabby hands at this baby and I wasn’t disappointed. I was hooked from the start and definitely experienced all the feels as I turned the pages and, yes, that ending has me needing/wanting/making grabby hands at the next book in the series. But until then...Brody and Indigo aka Indy. I adored Brody. Talk about being a good guy. Charming, a little quirky and sweet. After all he’s been through, Brody is still has this light to him that draws you in and makes you want to know more. Indigo is sweet, snarky, determined/stubborn and has walls around her a mile high, not that I blamed her. While she lives a privileged life, and knows it, she just wants to live a life outside of the spotlight and find people who cared ...

~**~ ARC Review: The Fighter (Barrett Boys #2) by Jordan Ford ~**~

***4 Stars*** After finishing the epilogue in The Runaway, I knew I’d be making grabby hands at The Fighter because I NEEDED to know just what the hell happened and how things would work themselves out and I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed. Kena and Deeks story was definitely a rollercoaster of a ride that kept me turning the pages until the very end. I really liked Kena and Deeks. Kena has had her world crash around her and she is struggling. But even with everything going on, she still has an eye to having a future ~ even if it’s not the one she’d always picture for herself. Deeks world has gone wonky on him quite a few times and while the life he is living right now isn’t all that great, he does have a purpose and reason to keep doing what he’s been doing. Their journey is an interesting one to say the least. From the moment they collide, they actually make sense together. Deeks runs on emotion, while Kena tends to be a little more logical. While they are opposites in almost ...
