~**~ ARC Review: Enemies with Benefits by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***5 Stars*** Oh. My. Head. And Eyes. And Heart. And that’s just about Ben and Makayla...it doesn’t even include the other crazy that happens in the book (and no, I’m not just talking about Chase, Levi and Kip) there is other crazy…but, despite the whiplash (or maybe because of) I kept turning the pages and loved how everything turned out in the end. Ben and Mak…these two drove me batshitcrazy. As much as I loved them/ended up loving them, they both annoyed the hell out of me in equal measure. Both have really good hearts and care deeply for those they call their own, but when they go at it, they go big. As teens, I tended to side with Mak, and it wasn’t because of the obvious, but as adults, they were both on the same level in a lot of ways. But, the chemistry was there and while there was a whole bunch of push/pull going on ~ and add in a bunch of outside crazy ~ they were inevitable and I’m just happy they figured it all out and got their HEA. This baby has A LOT going on. I mean we...

~**~ ARC Review: Worth the Chase by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***5 Stars*** Hello roller coaster of emotions…and, no, I’m not just saying that to say it…this baby goes big. I laughed, snort laughed, rolled my eyes so much they, got whiplash AND got all kinds of teary eyed and sniffly (that last one does not happen often) and am pleasantly surprised to say that I enjoyed it all. Now, I know saying that I’m surprised I enjoyed the book can make one go wha? But, I have a good reason…that reason is I did not like Chase in Chicks, Man. Like…AT. ALL. He was a NOPE with lots of exclamation points following it, but now? He is still a bit OTT for my liking, but I can say I love the guy. And Bridget? She was all kinds of sweet and snarky. She has her demons that she needs to work through, but she has moxie and I just liked the girl. As for the journey to their HEA. It was a crazy rollercoaster of a ride. Both have their own issues to work through and all that, but they had a great flow and just worked well together for me. As for the bumps, there were many...

~**~ ARC Review: Celebrity Dirt by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***4 Stars*** When I read the blurb, it didn’t click.  What’s the “it” I’m talking about? The “IT” is that I had met Addy and Logan before.  So, I do a little search in my Gdocs and lo and behold…I found them in the Wild in the Windy City Volume #3: New Year’s Eve Edition Anthology which was released in 2019 and then I had to chuckle at my mini review... “~ Review is for Celebrity Dirt by J.D. Hollyfield ~ ***4 Stars*** There may have only been two chapters in here, but they definitely packed a punch. I can already tell that I’ll be #teamlogan for most of the book, though this isn’t to say that I won’t be giving Addy love, because she definitely deserves it, but this woman is definitely going to try me, but I can’t wait to see how what she is about to go through changes her. “ And yes after finishing Addy and Logan’s entire book I am still #TeamLogan and Addy definitely tried me...good lord did the girl try me. I’m still recovering from typhoon Addy. But now that I got ...

~**~ ARC Review: Sweet Little Lies (Dirty Little Lies Duet #2) by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***4 Stars*** After reading the epilogue in Bad Daddy, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Sweet Little Lies and see how Hazel and Gabe got to where they were in the epilogue, but also to see just how they’d end up getting their HEA, and I gotta say it was quite the ride ~ not in a bad way, but boy did things get a bit cray cray in this baby.  But as for Hazel and Gabe. I already liked Hazel going in ~ sweet, sassy and simply a good person. And while she is your typical 18 year old transitioning from teenager to a new adult, she’s not as blind to the real world as some of her peers may be because of how she grew up. Gabe, well, I’m a bit waffly about him. He’s all kinds of AF dom male ~ OMG total AF dom male ~ and he does have a good heart, but there were moments where I was ‘yelling’ at him to grow the F.U. and be the adult that he is.  Their journey was all kinds of cray cray and more angsty due to how Hazel knows Gabe, but they did have a connection and I despite the obvious...

~**~ ARC Review: Bad Daddy (Dirty Little Lies Duet #1) by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***5 Stars*** Mmmmmmmm… Yeah. Bad Daddy TOTALLY worked for me. And it wasn’t just the kink ~ though that was definitely HAWT. But it’s that fact that though this is a novella, I was totally invested in the characters from the start. I’m not sitting here thinking that I needed ‘more’ ~ well, there is one situation I would have liked a little more of, but it doesn’t really have to do with Violet and Heath ~ well not really, but back on topic. Sorry. What I’m attempting to say is that I feel like I know Violet and Heath. I got them. I know who they are and I honestly love them both. Since this is a novella things progress quickly, but it all felt right ~ even with the whole taboo/forbidden/age gap thing going on ~ the connection was there and I’m really happy with how everything worked out. This is a quick and dirty review *BSEG* but it is what it is...now, this is a duet,  maybe not like how you’re thinking, but it is and does end on a cliffy or sorts ~ though this is the kind of cli...

~**~ ARC Review: Junkie by J D Hollyfield ~**~

***4 ‘Creepster’ Stars*** Talk about an adrenaline rush...and that was just in the first chapter. But the rest of this book had me grinning like a fool as Luna and Chase danced around each other and found that they were both exactly what they never knew they needed. I ended up loving Luna and Cash. Luna is guarded and street smart with a sassy mouth and is always on guard. Cash on the outside doesn’t always match the Cash on the inside. He’s cocky, goofy and a little broken, but when he’s all in, he’s all in.  Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. Their first collision was by no means a ‘meet-cute’ but it totally set the stage for a highly surprising, yet enjoyable, courtship. Luna and Cash just fit together, even their broken pieces fit. I loved their bantering and just how well they flowed when they were together, even when they tried their hardest to keep the other at arm’s length.  Let me admit right now that I have not read any of the books in the actual driven ser...

~**~ ARC Review: Lake Redstone by J.D. Hollyfield ~**~

***4 ‘Beautiful Disaster’ Stars*** I love a good romcom, I do, but this one may take the cake on the crazy OTT situations that these characters went through. Some had me cracking up, some had me rolling my eyes and there were a couple that had me going WTF?? BUT after a bit of a slow start for me, I was totally all in on the crazy ride that Casey, Jim and the rest of the crew took me on and really, REALLY wished there had more words to read after ‘The End’ because I wanted to spend just a little more time with all of them and see where the future took them. Casey, I really liked her. I did. The woman is sweet, caring, slightly volatile *smirk* with just enough crazy to keep me on my toes, but man she had her OTT moments. It was a 50/50 split on the ones I was totally on board with and ones I wasn’t, but it was easy to like the woman. Jim is a sweetheart. He’s got this laid back go with the flow vibe and mix that up with charm, sweetness and good dose of snark that made it so ...
