***5 Stars*** *Heavy sigh* No, the sigh has nothing to do with the story, (hopefully obvious by the rating) but the fact that as this is the second book, not the last, I have to keep this review vague as all get out. But I have actually written notes for myself, so when the next one comes out, I’m good to go. But as for this book. I still love Darya. She’s stubborn, sweet and determined and I think she becomes a little more…worldly and mature in the Prison of Thorns.  And speaking of…the prison and how things work there were done well and while I definitely wouldn’t want to be an inmate there, it gave depth to the world at large.  As for the inmates, they are definitely quite interesting. Serg may just be my fav, but as much as Vasilios and Sven are the “bad guys” I ended up liking them.  Quite a bit happens in this book and a few were surprising. ***4 Stars*** I read this book many, many moons ago (at least in booktime) so my memory of it, even with notes, is a bit hazy, but I remember enjoying it..  So after reading it again, I’m hit with a few revelations of sorts. 1) my feelings for Jude and Gen are pretty similar to how I felt about them the first time around.  2) I ended up enjoying it just a little more because I’ve already met, and loved (Dommiel anyone?), many of the other characters in depth that populate this world so it was fun to go back and meet them for the first time..again 3) I still find the world building excellent considering how much information is thrown at the reader. But on to Jude and Gen, as this is their beginning, I liked both of them, even as they drove me batshitcrazy in their own unique ways. ***5 ‘Danish’ Stars*** So. Much. Fun! I snort laughed more while reading this baby than I have in awhile, but that really isn’t that much of a surprise because I always seem to when it comes to this author. And I feel I need to say this before going further. When it comes to this author (no matter the name the book is under) I simply read the books for true entertainment. Meaning, it’s not about the ‘romance’ for me ~ which is definitely not standard ~ it’s more about the crazy, chaotic, OTT characters and their relationships and reactions to each other that I love because the author takes their animal natures to the extreme and I never know what will happen next So, Finn and Mads are the two characters that get together in this one and I loved both of them. Mads is one that keeps things close to the chest that mean a lot to her, with the exception of basketball. Basketball is her lifeline. Finn is, for the most part, laid back. He has to be considering how crazy his brothers drive him...

***5 Stars*** Not only am I huge fan of the author, but I’m a huge fan of what I call slices of life after the HEA happens. I like catching up with the characters and just see how things are going for them. So when this anthology was announced, I was all in and I wasn’t not disappointed. This is a great addition to the Stay a Spell series and world. All of the stories in here are quick reads, but not only reinforces how good each couple is together ~ or will possibly be in one case ~ but also that family bond that the Savoie sisters have, but also their men and the people (and animals) they call their own.  I don’t have a clear favorite of the bunch, but if I was forced to pick one, I’d have to go with Jingle Spells. But while these are all short stories, they are very well written and will have those who have already met the Savoie sisters very happy.  If you haven’t? ***5 Stars*** While I’m sad that this is the last book of the series, I gotta say, this baby went out big. It pushed all the right buttons for me in every way possible and gave me everything I wanted and more. I adored Krissa and Bowen. Krissa is adventurous, but not impetuous. She is all kinds of sweet and sassy, but has a good head on her shoulders. Bowen is even keel, for the most part, and leans towards doing the right thing, even when his emotions are riding him hard. Their journey to their HEA was a fun, low on the angst one, which I personally liked because of all that was going on with the Larkosian’s ~ that was more than enough drama for me. But while things did happen quickly between, it didn’t feel like anything was rushed. They got to know each other not only through conversations, but actions and they the kind of flow that made them work for me and in the end, I loved how everything worked out for them. ***5 Stars*** If I thought the previous books in the series were chock full of all kinds of crazy goodness, this one definitely puts those to shame, because boy does the author take us on one hell of a ride.  Not unexpected considering we are all geared up for the showdown with Theodore, but it was the little added extras that made this one epic finale. I have to say that while Tegan and Ethan are the main characters, and ones I really did like throughout out the majority of the series, I also fell in love with the motley crew of characters that made up their family ~ some by blood, some by choice and some by necessity (at least in the beginning). I enjoyed watching them all evolve and become more of who they were meant to be as they all worked together to fight Theodore. When I dove into this series I had no idea that this was actually one that she had published previously and had gone back to and re-branded it, so I cannot say if there were any significant changes made, but I can...

***5 Stars*** I was expecting more crazy, kinda hard not to with Theodore in the mix, but damn Talk about intense. There were some things I was expecting to happen, but there were a couple that had me going WTF?!?! Thankfully the bad crazy and the good crazy balanced each other out and I cannot wait to see how everything comes to a head in the next book! As for Tegan. Honestly, I truly like Tegan. Her life has gone sideways, upside down and turned inside out and for the most part, she is taking it in stride. Yes, she has her moments of doubt, frustration and outright despair, but I really like how she takes everything in and keeps going. I also like that she always tries to do the right thing for herself. Others may not agree, but she holds her ground and makes things happen. A lot happens in this book and I like how everything, thus far, has played out. There were a few issues that were resolved, and I really liked how one in particular was handled by Tegan.
