***4 Stars*** This was one of those books that, when everything was said and done, I ended up really enjoying, but it also took me a bit longer to get through it than I had expected when I started it. It isn’t the books fault, at least not entirely, since there were spots that dragged for me, that smashed up with life in general kept me from devouring from start to finish. But in the end I enjoyed this mixed bag of romance tropes that was woven into a story about how one moment can change everything. I really liked Piper and Kyle. Piper is persistent, stubborn and yet isn’t immovable. She has a good heart and a sweet and sassy nature that makes you see beyond the surface and into her soul. Kyle hasn’t had an easy life, but does all he can to move past the bad things and live a good life. ***5 Stars*** I went into this one expecting fireworks, a bit of angst and frustration, a few laughs and being able to relate ~ at least in my head ~ to some of the issues Calla would face in Alaska and I got that, but also so much more. I got the feels with this, big ones (I caught the teary sniffles). From the first page I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down. I felt like if I put the book down I’d miss something and I just couldn’t let that happen so I “multitasked” and ate up every moment. Calla was an interesting one for me. Overall, I honestly liked the girl and there were quite a few times when I was totally on board with her reactions, TOTALLY, but then there were those other moments where I groaned and thought “Oh God. You’re one of THOSE people.” because she was. ***4 Stars*** Having thoroughly enjoyed Until It Fades, my first and only read by the author (I am working at getting to the ones on my TBR, I promise), I was more than ready to dive into another book of hers and when I saw the cover to Keep Her Safe (which is absolutely beautiful) and found out it was romantic suspense, I knew I’d find a way to get my hands on it in one way or another and I have to say I really enjoyed it. ***4 ‘Things That Make Me Happy’ Stars*** Until It Fades is my first foray into the mind of K.A. Tucker (though I have a few of her books sitting in my TBR list) and didn’t know what to expect going in. I was prepared for drama, the description sets the tone perfectly, but I didn’t expect the roller coaster reactions ~ both good and bad ~ not only to the drama, but the very eclectic cast of characters that brought this story to life.  It was sweet, smexy, funny and frustrasting (sometimes all at once) and I got caught up in Cath and Brett’s journey as they find that single moment can change the course of your life forever. Cath’s past has never stopped haunting her and though she lives with the consequences of the choices she made when she was young and dumb, she is determined to ensure that her daughter’s present and future are bright and filled with love.
