~**~ ARC Review: Kickin’ It (Red Card #2) by Rachel Van Dyken ~**~

***5 ‘Red Whistle’ Stars*** No Tea, No Shade. I thought Risky Play drove me batshitcrazy, but Matt & Parker may not have surpassed the crazy that Slade & Mack put me through (with a little help from Willow), but man did they match it. For a hot minute there I thought I was going to toss the Kindle into the freezer for a time out, but I kept at it and I absolutely fell in love with both of them while loving Slade and Mack even more and finding myself quite intrigued with all that was going on with Jagger and Willow. All in all, Kickin’ It turned out to be a totally unputdownable page turner and has me wanting more. Matt and Parker. I ended up loving and adoring these two, I did. But did they make my eyes and head hurt in the beginning. I mean I wanted to grab them both by the ears and put them both in time out. But underneath to asshattery and lashing out are two people who are filled with passion and have really good hearts, it just takes their heads a lot more ti...

***5 ‘#TeamMackenzie’ Stars*** This one was a total emotional roller coaster of a ride, an amazing one, but still, the whiplash you get from this one is real. These characters, ALL of the characters, pulled everything out of me. One second I wanna gut someone with a spoon, the next I’m laughing out loud (no, seriously Out. Loud) and the next I wanna hug someone...and let’s not forget the panty melting. This one pushed all the right buttons and had me devouring every word and wanting more. Slade. This man. I loved and adored him, I did, but I also wanted to gag him and duct tape him to a chair ~ and not for fun, smexy times ~ because he is...intense...a little volatile...I mean when this man goes big, he goes BIG. But for all the times I wanted to Gibbs smack him, there were just as many where I swooned and wanted to hug him. Mackenzie. This woman is pretty damn amazing, this isn’t to say I didn’t have my moments with her, but the strength she has to still see the good in thin...

~**~ ARC Review: The Bachelor Contract (The Bachelors of Arizona #3) by Rachel Van Dyken ~**~

***3.5 Stars*** This one was a rough one for me, one that I came quite close to DNF’ing if I’m absolutely honest. I hate to admit that, because I never want to DNF a book, especially one that I have been looking forward to reading (even if it did take me a long, LONG time to get to). But there was that one ‘thing’ that kept me reading, which I’ll get to in a bit) and in the end I’m happy I stuck it out to see how everything worked out for Nikki and Brant. So, the ‘thing’, or really ‘things’, that kept me reading were Cole and Nadine. I’ve loved Nadine since first being in her presence and kinda want to be her when I grow up. But Cole was pretty amazing. Had there not been a “Cole” in the mix, I wouldn’t have kept going. He was sweet, protective, snarky and I absolutely adored him. Now for Nikki and Brant. It’s really hard to truly dislike either of, especially after all that they had gone through in a very short amount of time. Nikki, I really liked from the start and after...

***4 ‘Hello Whiplash’ Stars*** I’ve been wanting to dive into this one for awhile, but the schedule ~ both the TBR & Life ~ wouldn’t allow it until now and holy hell can we say batsh&tcrazy emotional rollercoaster ride goodness?!? I swear Bentley and Margot gave me whiplash, they did, but I couldn’t stop turning the pages. I had to see how these two found their way back to each other while overcoming their own demons and I wasn’t disappointed. It was definitely a crazy emotional ride, but one that was worthwhile. I know that this has happened before, but I spent an equal amount of time wanting to hug Bentley and Margot while wanting to smack them upside the head. In fact there were many times I wanted to do both at the same time because I could empathize with them but wanted to yell at them to grow a pair. They both have a slew of demons riding them hard, aren’t willing to face them head on and instead have put themselves into their own prisons and thrown away t...
