***4 Stars*** Well, the whiplash was real with this one, as was the full on mindfuck with all the things going on, not a surprise considering who the author is, but if you do choose to pick this baby up and dive in, be prepared to go to that place where all lines are blurred and no boundaries exist. As for Meraki and Niko…the author has stated that these two are not the warm and fuzzy sort of characters you’ll fall in love with, and I can’t even say that they are morally gray, maybe a very, very dark gray where they are an inch away from being black? Yeah, and while I can’t say that I truly liked them, I did find them fascinating in the choices they made and the reasons behind them. Their relationship is simply toxic, but it was such that they worked and I kept turning those pages just to see how much further they could go and the chaos that ensued did not disappoint.
