***5 Stars*** After reading the Klutch duet, well, after just the first book in the duet, I was all about Karson ~ sorry Jay, but it’s true ~ and I loved Stella’s girl crew and I had my toes crossed that Karson and Wren would get their own HEA because the chemistry between them was off the charts was intense even then. ***5 ‘I Wasn’t Asking….I Was Insisting’ Stars*** Tillie Cole said it was going to be dark. Darker than anything she wrote before. Hell, even her husband said it was fucked up (shared via her SM) And it was that and so much more and… I ADORED every word of it and NEED more. Yes, I was disturbed, and even sickened by certain things that happened, I mean I love me some dark and deviant as much as the next person, but these certain things pushed even me to that very fine line. But the dark light in the vast darkness of this journey were Heathan and Ellis aka Rabbit and Dolly, They were unique, utterly addicting and absolutely fascinating in every way imaginable. Dolly’s spirit and Rabbit’s intensity, albeit dark, were what drew me in and all it took was one moment to fall into adoration with both of them. ***5 ‘You Wanna Go for a Ride’ Stars*** Talk about a major tone change from Storm to Vandal. I mean I remembered what happened to Vandal and just from Evie’s reaction to the man there was no doubt that his story would have a darker edge, but WOW! I didn’t always love Vandal, but I never truly disliked him. I may have gotten frustrated with him and wanted to Gibbs smack him a few times, but despite his surly nature, he did care about his family even if he didn’t always show it. Tabi was a lot stronger than she appeared and though she was broken, as broken though not as dark (initially) as Vandal, she wasn’t shattered. Their journey was dark, heart breaking and yet satisfying as they both helped the other to heal and find pieces of their soul that they didn’t even know existed.
