~**~ ARC Review: Say You Still Love Me by K.A.Tucker ~**~

***4 Stars***

This was one of those books that, when everything was said and done, I ended up really enjoying, but it also took me a bit longer to get through it than I had expected when I started it. It isn’t the books fault, at least not entirely, since there were spots that dragged for me, that smashed up with life in general kept me from devouring from start to finish. But in the end I enjoyed this mixed bag of romance tropes that was woven into a story about how one moment can change everything.

I really liked Piper and Kyle. Piper is persistent, stubborn and yet isn’t immovable. She has a good heart and a sweet and sassy nature that makes you see beyond the surface and into her soul. Kyle hasn’t had an easy life, but does all he can to move past the bad things and live a good life. Cocky, charming and with a core of honor and loyalty that rivals most, he is a good man who does what needs to be done.

Kyle and Piper’s journey was an interesting one as we get glimpses of not only their present, but their past, and it’s easy to see how the connection they forged never broke ~ regardless of time and distance. I really enjoyed seeing how time had changed them, but only made them stronger and was definitely rooting for them to get their HEA. Of course nothing is ever easy, and with these two they had a lot more obstacles in their path, and while I tended to be #teampiper (at least in their present) I never turned on Kyle either.

This was an interesting read. Secrets and half truth along with the friendships, the connections made one summer kept coming back. As for the secondary characters. This one definitely had a mixed bag of personalities, some I really liked while others had me growling, Ashley was my favorite along with Rhett, but each character brought depth to the story and understanding of the world Piper and Kyle were living in.

Life is a mixed bag for Piper Calloway.

On the one hand, she’s a twenty-nine-year-old VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm, and living the high single life with her two best friends in a swanky downtown penthouse. On the other hand, she’s considered a pair of sexy legs in a male-dominated world and constantly has to prove her worth. Plus, she’s stuck seeing her narcissistic ex-fiancé—a fellow VP—on the other side of her glass office wall every day.

Things get exponentially more complicated for Piper when she runs into Kyle Miller—the handsome new security guard at Calloway Group Industries, and coincidentally the first love of her life.

The guy she hasn’t seen or heard from since they were summer camp counsellors together. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks. The guy who apparently doesn’t even remember her name.

Piper may be a high-powered businesswoman now, but she soon realizes that her schoolgirl crush is not only alive but stronger than ever, and crippling her concentration. What’s more, despite Kyle’s distant attitude, she’s convinced their reunion isn’t at all coincidental, and that his feelings for her still run deep. And she’s determined to make him admit to them, no matter the consequences.
