***4 ‘Thieves to One Another’s Hearts’ Stars***
Talk about being on an emotional roller coaster. I swear one second I was laughing over what the characters were getting up to and then the next I wanted reach out and shake some sense into them. Then there was that whole teary/sniffly thing that happened. The feels were everywhere and even at my most frustrated with them characters I couldn’t put the book down. I devoured it and absolutely loved the ending!
I adored Linc. Absolutely ADORED the man. Yes, he fucks up a lot, but as one character points out he is a “kind hearted fuck up”. He may make horrible choices and not see what the consequences of his choices will bring, but his heart is absolutely golden when it comes to those he calls his own.
Reagan. I swear this girl. I went into this book loving Reagan, but lemme tell you she gave me a run for my money in the first half of the book and I almost had to call it a day because I just couldn’t deal with some of her choices. But as the book progressed aka Linc became more of a permanent fixture in her life, the strong, feisty woman I always pictured her to be finally came out to play and by the end I loved her.
Linc and Reagan’s journey is all kinds of crazy. Some of it is OTT. Some of what goes on will drive you to drink because of the TSTL decisions that are made. But what kept me turning the page was how amazing Linc and Reagan were when they were together. To put it simply, they fit. They were the missing pieces in each others lives. They saw each others hearts and helped to make the other stronger. And yes, they were the kind of hot that you should just not bother with panties while reading this. The crazy of course creates a huge sinkhole in their journey, and holy hell is it a massive one, but I loved how everything turned out in the end.
This book, and series, had me questioning my own sanity at times with the crazy, OTT that happens in the books, but when everything was said and done this was a fun, laugh out loud, roll your eyes until they hurt series with a lot of heart. The characters are all well written and even when you want to gut them with a spoon, you can’t help but turn the page to see what they’ll get up to next. It is a little sad that this is the end of the series, but the epilogue was absolutely brilliant and there is always Molly *BSEG*
