~**~ ARC Review: Biker B*tch (Heaven’s Sinners #1) by Andie J. Christopher ~**~

***2 Stars***

The cover and title were what drew me to the book and in all honesty things started off really well. I was drawn into the story and quite curious to how the various issues would twist and turn before they were resolved, liked Skylar and Travis, and for awhile I was all in but then that “thing” happened. That one situation and they way it was handled that had me going WTF?!?  And from there things shifted. I still enjoyed the story, but not as much as I had hoped to.

As much as I liked Skylar and Travis and could definitely see them being perfect for each other, their constant push/pull was tiring and quite frankly felt like they should have been in YA romance in how they were dealing with the attraction between them, but I was still amused by them and wanted to see what they get up to next. Then that thing happened and all amusement faded and turned to eye rolling annoyance and from there on out their constant battle just irritated me. So with neither pulling on their shitkickers and actually doing something to finally get past their issues and be together, my interest died.

But even though my interest in the romance side gone, I had gotten so far into the story that I needed to see how everything played out and while things did end up working out in the end, I still feel like there should have been...more, but then again maybe that was the point to keep people wanting more. I did want to love this book, but it didn’t turn out that way. I really liked the guys in the Heaven’s Sinners, Chevy was my fav, and Sara and Debbie. Michael...well he started off okay, but I want to smack him with a 2x4. I’m not sure if I will be picking up the next in the series, but I will keep an eye out to see who it will be about.

Skyler Clark knows she'll have to face her past when returns to the Russian River Valley to make pinot noir. People in the small town where she grew up haven't forgotten her father – a country doctor turned outlaw motorcycle club president – and his fall from grace. But as long as she keeps her own business squeaky clean and stays away from bikers, she'll be fine.

Abner Travis sold his family's vineyard and winery to build up his business. And he's the president of a clean motorcycle club that does things the overburdened sheriff's department can't. He's too busy making sculptures for Hollywood directors and quietly sabotaging meth labs to chase a woman. But now that Skyler's all grown up, he wants her for his own. He just has to convince her that their dark, shared history shouldn't get in the way.

Travis is the one thing Skyler can't resist, but she doesn’t believe they can last. When her father's old club puts Skyler's business and safety at risk, she has to decide whether to place her trust in Travis or to walk away. And Travis has to decide how much he'll give up to keep the woman he loves.

Warning: Contains a dead sexy biker who will pull on your pigtails, but only if you beg.

USA Today Bestselling author Andie J. Christopher writes edgy, funny, sexy contemporary romance featuring heat, humor, and dirty talking heroes that make readers sweat. She grew up in a family of voracious readers, and picked up her first Harlequin Romance novel at age twelve when she’d finished reading everything else in her grandmother’s house. It was love at first read. It wasn’t too long before she started writing her own stories — her first heroine drank Campari and drove an Alpha Romeo up a winding road to a minor royal’s estate in Spain. Andie lives in the Nation’s Capitol with her French Bulldog, Gus, a stockpile of Campari, and way too many books.
