So. Much. Goodness!
This book was all the goodness I've come to expect from the mind of JT Geissinger. I laughed out loud, growled in frustration, felt the need to grab the B.O.B and even got all teary eyed and sniffily and I fell into adoration with not only Bianca and Jackson, but the crazy characters that loved them. And if that wasn't enough it made me hungry even when I was already eating. (Trust me it's a thing)
I adored Bianca from the start. She’s a sassy little spitfire with huge heart and loves to cook. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, and boy when she does she goes big. I loved her honesty and compassion
Straight up, Jackson is a Beast. He is gruff, snarly and bossy AF, but he is a good and honorable man underneath it all and I fell into full on adoration with him long before the reasons for his Beastie-ness was revealed. His heart may be bruised and battered, but it's still golden.
Their journey to their HEA was a rocky one, I mean what Beauty and the Beast style love story isn't? But it was a fun one. The chemistry between them was explosive on so many levels that I'm surprised they truly didn't combust. It was fun watching them get to know each other, despite their unconventional situation, and how they ended bringing out the best in each other.
This really was a fun ride that pulled out all the feels with a cast of characters that made me want more. Eeny, Hoyt and Rayford were my absolute favorites and had me wanting to sit down at a table overflowing with food and just listen to the stories of their lives. And speaking of food and drink, dear lord my mouth was watering the entire time and has me wanting to test out each and everyone of them. There was no indication as to what the next book in the series will bring, but I’ll be making sure I get my hands on a copy!
