I didn’t want to put the book down, but I couldn’t bring myself to devour it.
I savored every word. I couldn’t help myself.
And the feels in this one...So. Real. All of them. Hell, I got all kinds of sniffly and teary ~ like to the point where the blinking thing didn’t work
And when ‘The End’ came, I was all kinds of happy, but sad because there were no more words and I didn’t want to leave the world of The Fallen.
I went into WTTDS already in love with Zeus Garro after meeting him in Lessons in Corruption and now? Full. Blown. Adoration. #YesDaddy! This man is all kinds of alpha AF badass biker dominant male with his own code of honor, but the heart that beats underneath all of that is so golden that you can’t help but fall in love with the man.
I adored Lou. Though young, she is an old soul and is much more aware of what is going on around her than most realize. I loved her spirit and how she decided to live her life on her own terms. True, there were somethings that she couldn’t shout to the heavens about, but she worked things out to do what made her happy.
The way Zeus and Lou’s journey began was a unique on and I loved how it became more over time. Despite the age difference, and the fact that they come from very different lifestyles, they worked. The connection they had made it easy to see how they could become everything to each other. The smexy, was HAWT, especially because Lou gave as good as she from Zeus. There were definitely some bumps in the road, but I loved where they were at in the end.
Welcome to the Dark Side was such a fun and yet emotional read for so many reason, most of which I can’t even mention. I loved catching up with King and Cress and getting to know Harleigh Rose a little more and hanging out with The Fallen and their women was all kinds of fun. There are some dark, triggery things that happen, so beware, but overall I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one...I have an idea of who it may be about...maybe?? So, we’ll see what happens, but until then…
