Title: Fauxmance
Age Group: Adult
Release Date: August 13, 2018
Book Description:
In this era of social media, we all pretend.
We pretend to be prettier, happier, more confident versions of ourselves, but not Ellen Grant. She takes it to a whole other level and pretends to be someone else entirely. Adopting the persona of a woman far more interesting is the only way she can break free of the socially awkward, romantically inept girl she really is.

And it’s all going swimmingly until she catches the eye of a man at her local coffee shop. Julian Fairchild has been noticing her for a while and he’s fascinated. Little does he know, the woman he thinks he’s obsessed with is a fake.

It’s not long before the jig is up, and Julian discovers Ellen’s true identity. However, he has a proposition. If she really wants to pretend, he can introduce her to a world where she can be anyone she wants. Ellen is intrigued by the prospect, and, blind to the nature of Julian’s profession as a male escort, closes her eyes and lets him lead the way.

Can Ellen keep her feelings in check while discovering a new world of thrills and excitement? And will Julian let it show that he isn’t entertaining Ellen purely out of the goodness of his heart?

Fauxmance is a standalone contemporary romance featuring characters first seen in L.H. Cosway’s Showmance.

***5 ‘Beautiful Specimen & Thief of Words’ Stars***

After reading Showmance I wanted more of Julian and boy did I get more than I could have ever asked for, not only with Julian but Ellen and all the goodness that is Fauxmance. It is sweet, awkward and filled with hope, laughter and all kinds of heart. It’s also quite smexy. Like REALLY smexy, but it was the characters and their journey that made this one a page turner that I wish hadn’t ended.

Julian is an enigma and I adored him. His childhood was less than colorful, and he fell a few times, but learned from it all and has evolved into a man who, for the most part, is confident, compassionate and is way too observant for his own good. But due to his own..vulnerabilities, he has this weird, though impressive knack to be fully engaged even while he is keeping himself separated from all that is going on around him.

I adored Ellen. Yes she was socially awkward, but there was also a spark in her that showed she truly wanted more out of her life, she was just stuck. Her alter ego was the first step and she was quite entertaining, but Ellen was the true star of the show and I loved watching as she fought her demons and grew more comfortable in her own skin.

Julian and Ellen’s journey was all kinds of sweet, swoon worthy and fun. Their first collision was definitely one that wouldn’t necessarily be described as a meet cute, but it was a memorable one and I loved how everything evolved from there. Even in the beginning awkward stages there was flow to their interactions that showed how good they could be together if they let their walls drop. I loved their bantering and how they accepted the other for who they were and found solace and strength in it. The sinkhole in their journey wasn’t unexpected, but I was crossing my toes that it wouldn’t happen, but it did and though my heart bled for both of them, it turned out to be a good thing and I loved how they came back together and where they were at in the end.

This was such a delightful read. There were some difficult moments and not everything was wine and roses, but overall this was simply a great story about opposites colliding and finding love in the most unexpected place. As for the supporting cast of characters, it was fun catching up with Rose and Damon, I loved Suze and I wouldn’t mind if Nick and Cam some day down the road get their own HEA’s, but David was my favorite. OMG this man needs his own HEA, so toes crossed that it will happen sooner rather than later!
