***5 Stars***

It’s been a minute since I spent some time in Whynot, but from the first page it felt like I had never left. The small town vibe, the gossip mill and the Mancinkus family made me feel like I was home and watching as Larkin ~ the last Mancinkus left standing ~ found love in the most unexpected of ways was all kinds of fun and kept me turning the pages until there were no more words to read.

I adored Deacon and Larkin. Deacon is so much more that his appearance suggests. Straight forward, charming, playful and laid back. The man made it so easy for me to fall for him and wish that I had my own Deacon in my life. Larkin is sassy, intelligent and content with the life she has chosen for herself. Her family is everything to her, as is the town they call their own. She has her insecurities and they, at times, wreak havoc on her emotions, but I loved watching her work at letting them go and become stronger for it.

Deacon and Larkin’s journey was all kinds of goodness. Their bantering was sweet and sexy and the slow burn of their relationship totally worked for me as they got to know each other. What I ended up loving, and appreciating, the most was how they communicated with each other. They still had conversations with themselves in their heads, but they were also honest and upfront with what they were feeling, even when they didn’t necessarily want to be and in the end I loved where they both ended up.

This book, this series, has been a lot of fun to read. I love the small town feel and how everyone knows everyone else’s business ~ at least in some way shape or form. Hanging out with the Mancinkus clan was so much fun and getting to see where they were all at in their relationships and lives. And as for that epilogue...it was perfect!
