My Review
The pre-quel (which was released separately, pulled and included in the novel) had me kinda salivating to get to know the Inferno crew better and find out just what the hell was going with their games and families and all the crazy going on and this baby gave me some answers, but left me with wanting more...lots more.
Tanner and Luca. These two definitely took me on a ride. Luca is feisty, stubborn, caring. She is one strong woman, who tends to lead with her heart more than her head. Tanner is manipulative and cunning and yet has a protective streak a mile wide.
Their journey to their HEA was intense in every way possible. The chemistry between them was undeniable and though their battle of wills made my head explode at times, I couldn’t help but want them to figure things out and find their happy. The issues that surround them are complex and I did tend to be full on team Luca, BUT I couldn’t help but admire how Tanner worked his way into Luca’s good graces.
This baby was one hell of a ride. The twists and turns were well done, a little craycray, but well done and while some questions were answered, and we do get a resolution to the main issues between Luca and Tanner, there was quite a bit more left unresolved and I’m definitely curious to see how everything is unraveled as the series progresses. As for the supporting characters, they all fascinate me, The Inferno crew has had a hold on me from the start and while it’s easy to think of Gabe as the fav, and the twins are on a level all their own, it’s Shane that I’m looking forward to getting to know the most. So bring on Fraud and lets see just where the game takes us!
