And we finally get to see Hollis fall…and boy does he fall hard, in more ways than one, which was all kinds of fun to watch, but also heartbreaking. Thankfully, the fun outweighed the heartbreak and made this read a great addition to this series.
I loved Hollis and Larissa. Hollis is all kinds of charismatic and funny. His heart has been bruised, so he tends to keep most people at arm’s length, but it’s still golden underneath it all. Larissa is sweet, sassy and has a zest for life that made her someone it was easy to connect with. T
Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of opposites attract/insta goodness. The chemistry between them jumped off the page and I loved how well they flowed from their first collison. Their bantering was a lot of fun and I loved how they ended up falling hard for each other, despite their efforts to keep things “simple”. The big roadblock in their journey wasn’t a surprise in any way, though it was frustrating, but I loved how things worked out for them in the end.
This was a great addition to the series. If you haven’t read the first two books, you won’t be lost as they can all be read as full stand-alones, but I think you will want to once you’ve finished this baby because there is something special about Hollis, Crew and River’s friendship and you’ll be jonesing for more of it.
But as for the secondary characters in this baby, I gotta say I loved them. Bellamy, Judy, Boone, Coy...I mean all of them (with the exception of one) were awesome and I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for Coy’s book, because that one looks like it’s gonna be all kinds of fun!
