> A Bad Boy Tattoo Shop Owner
> A Strong Single Mom

> All The Swoon
> Heart Melting Moments
Drew Ashby has no time—for anything. As a recently-divorced single mother, her focus is on finding a job, caring for her daughter, and rebuilding some semblance of a life after hers was wrecked.
When Drew lands a job at Bird’s Eye, sparks don’t immediately fly. She can't deny the fact that her boss is a delicious specimen of a man. His tattoo-covered skin might even drive her wild, but his brooding presence and set jaw make him hard to read.
That is, until he drops the bad boy persona and starts making moves on her—kind and caring gestures she doesn't expect.
Things turn hot, and just when Drew thinks everything is finally going right, life does what it does best: It throws her a curveball from her past.
Bird’s Eye might not be the family Drew envisioned for herself, but ideals can change in a heartbeat. There’s no doubt Hawk is the man she wants, but can he step up and be the man she needs?

I gotta admit that the cover was the hook. I saw it and instantly made grabby hands, and then I read the blurb and I was all in. A single mom and broody tattoo artist?
Yes. Please. Gimme
And I have to say that after snort laughing though that first chapter, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride Drew, Hawk, Ava and the rest of the Bird’s Eye crew took me on. This book had just the right balance of all the feels and hit all my romance buttons in the best of ways.
I loved Hawk and Drew. Hawk is a broody bastard but he has a really good heart that comes out in the little things that he does for those he calls his own and once he lets you in, well, his laid back, just a little sneaky, but all kinds of alpha male goodness comes out. Drew is sweet, sassy and a little bit snarky. She’s been through a lot in her life, and this last go with her ex hasn’t made things easier for her, but I love how she put her shitkickers on and did all she could to make sure her daughter, Ava, was taken cared of.
As for their journey to their HEA, it was actually a fun ride to be on. They had their bumps and roadblocks to navigate around, but I liked how Ava was at the center of it all and through her, both Hawk and Drew saw who the other really was and liked what they saw. Their bantering was a lot of fun, they had great chemistry and I liked how everything ended up working out for them.
This is my first read by the author. I’ve seen her name and books pop up before and I’m really happy I decided to finally take the plunge. The writing was engaging (that first chapter was awesome!), pacing good and I enjoyed the dual first person POV’s. As for the secondary cast of characters. I ADORED Will, liked Avery, Hanson and Derek and loved Ava to death and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!
