~**~ Release Blitz for Black Sunshine by Karina Halle w/ Review ~**~

Black Sunshine by Karina Halle is now live!

All Lenore Warwick wants for her 21st birthday is to hang out with her friends, finish her second year at Berkley with flying colors, and maybe catch the eye of a hot musician playing a show at a club that she can now (legally) get into.
Unfortunately, fate has other plans for her.
A week before her birthday, she's kidnapped by the brooding and dangerous stranger with cold eyes and a lethal touch, who has been stalking her on San Francisco's fog-shrouded streets. Absolon Stavig isn't your average criminal though. He's a centuries-old vampire who's caught between wanting to kill Lenore and wanting to save her.
You see Lenore, too, is a vampire.
She just doesn't know it yet.
Taken by a pair of vampire slayers when she was just an infant, Lenore was raised never knowing her true nature. All Lenore knows is that she has seemingly normal parents who love her, that she's exceptionally smart, and she's squeamish around blood. But once she turns twenty-one, she'll fully turn into a vampire, and Solon hopes he'll be there to guide her, opening her eyes to her deepest hunger...both sexual and otherwise.
But this turning can't be kept a secret. Soon both slayers and vampires are hunting Lenore, with only Solon and his unpredictable motley crew of vampires to save her.
If they don't kill her first.
Black Sunshine is a dark adult standalone romance with a paranormal twist, about sex, love, secrets, and revenge, set in contemporary San Francisco.

***5 ‘All The Way To You’ Stars***

I need more.

It’s really that simple, and probably that complex as well.

I NEED MORE of this world in general.

And more specifically:

More of Lenore and Absolon.

More of Wolf, Amethyst, Ezra, Odin and Yvonne.

More of Elaine and Jim.

And even more of those that were mentioned but we never actually ‘met’.

As for Lenore and Absolon aka Solon, I adored them. Lenore is a force to be reckoned with, and that was before she’s yanked into a world she has always believed was fantasy because even when she didn’t feel like she belonged, she owned who she was and after...well, she definitely shows how strong she is with all that is thrown at her in a short amount of time. As for Solon. Yeah, he can be a right bastard, and boy does he do it well, but even in what he deems his cold, closed off black heart, there are shreds of light that leak out when necessary.

To say their journey is unconventional, is an understatement, but it was one hell of a fun ride. Lenore and Solon had a flow from the start that worked for me. They both gave as good as they got and found that they truly liked everything about each other...even the darkness that swirled around and in both of them.

This book was a lot of fun to read. The world building was very well done, especially the origin story for the vampires as well as Solon and Lenore’s own personal histories. They were all well thought out, simple and yet had a lot of depth to it and it was all believable. As for the ‘dark’ in this. Yes, there are some things that will make some uncomfortable but I didn’t find any of it OTT. It all fit with what was going on and who was a part of the situation. And then there are supporting cast of characters. As you can see from the beginning of this review, I liked a lot of people and we get some information on everyone, but I really do want to know more ~ about their pasts, what they think about the now they live in and what could happen to them in the future because there is soooo much that could happen.

So, yup, I need more...pretty please!!
