~**~ Release Blitz for The Last Piece of His Heart (Lost Boys #3) by Emma Scott w/ Review ~**~

From USA Today and Wall St. Journal bestselling author, Emma Scott, comes the third and final novel in the Lost Boys series--a gritty, angsty love story about two lost souls searching for their place in the world, and what it means to be truly found.

The Last Piece of His Heart by Emma Scott is now live!

At Santa Cruz Central High School, they called them the misfits, the outcasts, the weirdos. But most of us knew them as the Lost Boys...

Ronan Wentz has been to hell and back, and he carries the scars to prove it. Worse, the blood of a monster runs through his veins. After ten years in foster care, eighteen-year-old Ronan is finally reunited with family. His uncle gives him a roof over his head and puts him to work, managing a shabby apartment complex in Santa Cruz, California.

But a second chance is still a second chance. Ronan becomes a solitary hunter, a vigilante, walking the streets at night to keep the nightmares at bay. If he can use the anger burning in his tainted blood to protect instead of hurt, maybe then he'll find the absolution he seeks.

Then he meets Shiloh.

Shiloh Barrera looks like she has it all together. Smart, ambitious and full of artistic creativity she channels into making beautiful one-of-kind jewelry. But Shiloh's cool, capable demeanor is all a front. Her demons drive her to succeed as much as her ambition. To prove her worth to the mother who can't stand to look at her, and who's harboring secrets of her own.

When Shiloh and Ronan meet, the physical attraction is instant and scorching. Neither believe it will last. Falling in love is an impossible pipe dream saved for those less shattered and damaged than they are.

But as hard as they try to resist, the growing feelings between them seem inevitable... until one terrible night destroys Shiloh's dreams and Ronan's future. When the smoke clears, and the rubble settles, they'll have to choose - do their pasts determine their future, or can they build a new one from the broken pieces of their hearts?

Lost Boys is a new series of interconnected, coming-of-age standalones from USA Today bestselling author Emma Scott.

***5 ‘I Got You’ Stars***

Going into a book where you already have a massive amount of love for is a bit nerve racking. On the one hand, you’re all kinds of excited to FINALLY get inside their heads and hearts and see them get their HEA and just fall harder for them. On the other, you’re hoping and praying that the author doesn’t throw you for a loop and possibly have your world go sideways by making them less…

But in this instance...my heart is seriously overflowing with all the warm, gushy, twitterpatted feels that Shiloh and Ronan gave me. My heart also broke more times than I’d’ve liked BUT my cup totally overflowth with this book…

Ronan and Shiloh. As I said, I already loved these two going in, but now I’m in full blown adoration with both of them. Ronan’s life has been, for lack of a better word, hellish and he has a lot of demons to fight ~ and sometimes they do take over. But while he may be broody and a man of few words, he is protective and loyal and even a bit sneaky. Shiloh is vibrant and determined. She’s had a good life, but within that life are shadows that haunt her and she’s built walls around herself to keep them, and others at bay. But she is sassy, loving and loyal to all she calls her own.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of goodness. Both of them want to stay in their own lanes and do what needs to be done without any entanglements, but once they collide, all bets are off. I loved watching as they got under each other's skins and found that they fit each other in practically every way possible.  They both faced a ton of obstacles, individually and as a couple, but each one made them stronger in every way and I love how everything worked out for them in the end.

If you haven’t read the first two books in the series, The Girl in the Love Song & When You Come Back to Me, you must. Yes, you can read this one as a stand-alone BUT the entire book runs along pretty much the same timeline as the first two and I honestly think that you’ll find it more enjoyable and have a better understanding of just how special, not only Ronan and Shiloh are, but the intensity of the connection the three Lost Boys have.

With that said, I absolutely loved seeing Miller, Holden, Violet and River through Ronan and Shiloh’s eyes. I already love and adore them and this just backed up those feelings even more. As for the newbies we meet..there are soo many amazing characters: Bibi, Maryann, Bertie, Rudy, Letitia, Luisa, Lili, Cami...I mean, ugh, they just made this book so much fun. Of course there are a few that had me growling, but they added so much depth and emotion to the story for me.

This book does contain some intense subjects and situations, but all are handled with care and are necessary for Ronan and Shiloh’s evolution.

I’m sad that this is the last one, there are a few characters I would love to see get their own HEA, so toes crossed!
