I’ve been intrigued by Dragon (and Katana) since first meeting him and had my toes crossed that we’d get his story and HEA one day and I gotta say, this book gave me everything I my dark romantic heart wanted and then some. OMG the “and then some” was awesome and I’m crossing my toes that this isn’t the last time we hear from them...but until then.
I adored Dragon and Cove aka BP. Dragon is haunted. Tormented. Psychotic. Is barely riding the line of sanity on a good day BUT he has his reasons and beneath all of that pain is a man whose heart isn’t as black as most may believe. Cove is all kinds of snarky. The guy can’t help himself. He’s got attitude up the ying yang, but sees more than people think.
Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. Strange thing to say considering the circumstances, but they had this flow...the snarky enemies to lovers thing worked for when it came to Dragon and Cove. But what totally sold me on them was how they could read each other. They were just so intune with each other that it was hard not to want them to be together.
I gotta say, the author definitely went out on a high note. While this one was bloody, gory and full of triggers, it also made my heart all KINDS of happy. And while I can’t get into the why’s, I can say that it was well done and I’m still gonna cross my toes that this isn’t the last time we hear from the characters we met in this book.
