***5 “Team Gabi” Stars***
So. Much. Fun.
And I have this unexpected need to get plants, or at least go and look at some pretty ones and contemplate buying them...one never knows.
But, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am totally looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
Ok, I gotta admit, I adored Gabi. She is an aristocrat. She has been brought up with certain privileges, but she is a really good person. She’s sweet, has a huge heart and has no issue standing up for herself ~ though she does have her moments of self-doubt, she’s pretty solid. Miles. You all KNOW I love me a grumpy man because underneath the grump is typically a good heart, and Miles definitely fit the bill. He can be charming. He can be helpful and he definitely can talk, when he so chooses, but he is still a good man who tends to think a little too hard about certain things.
As for their journey to their HEA. I gotta say, I LOVED how Gabi wore Miles down. She didn’t do anything except be herself and definitely did not mince words when it was important and once Miles’ wall came down, well, he was a gonner and I just really loved them together. While they may be on opposite ends of the class structure, they had so much in common and it was obvious how much they really enjoyed each other’s company.
I’ve gotten to read many of the authors' books (many but still not all) I have enjoyed each of them, but this one was truly a lot of fun. She is writing about her home turf and I could tell just how much fun she was having bringing these characters to life. And speaking of characters. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next in series. I loved Eva, Ade , Alex, Aunt Cat, Aunt Beth, Dad, Grandpa and Authur and Caleb and the various other characters that populate this world. They were all just so much fun, so bring on more of the Aristocrat Diaries!
