Whoa. OK. Where do I even begin?
First and foremost: To say THAT was unexpected is an understatement, because I sooo did not see all that coming. And I’m totally here for it, but Whoa….Now on to the rest of the review.
So first off, Gabriella. I ADORED her. ADORED. Feisty, sweet, a little broken but has a strength that drew me in and had me wanting more. Kingston. So, I went back and looked at my notes from reading Wild North (I had to take some to keep track of everyone) and this is what I wrote about the man “youngest North and seems a bit self-destructive. Flamboyant, but more about upsetting his dad off than anything else.” And quite honestly, that is pretty spot on, though the flamboyance is just him. He’s the person you want to hug and Gibbs smack all at the same time. I didn’t always agree with things that he did, but I got why he was the way he was and had to give him credit for doing all that he did.
As for their journey to their HEA, I’m gonna keep it short. I loved them together. There is a lot both of them go through and some of it is quite painful, but they worked for me and I’m thrilled with how everything worked out in the end.
I have to admit that I don’t remember having the intense violent tendencies towards any secondary character as much as I did with a couplefew in this book. One was expected, but the other *Deep cleansing breath*...that was a whoa, though I will admit that it makes me want his book so badly because I am crossing my toes that he gets dragged to purgatoryl and back before he gets his HEA. Now that I’ve gotten that out, there are triggers in here and there are things that may make some uncomfortable, but I ended up enjoying the ride and am looking forward to seeing who the next North on the chopping block will be!
