After meeting Roman at the end of Jock Reign and witnessing his reaction to Lilly, I was all in to find out just what would happen between the two of them and I was not disappointed. This was a quick, adorkably awkward, sweet read with lots of heart and two characters I totally fell into adoration with.
So, yeah, ADORed Roman and Lilly. They are both good people with huge hearts and a good dose of confidence issues ~ for one reason or another. But what I liked about their journey was that Lilly was a bit more of the Alpha. Roman was by no means a doormat, but it was kind of nice to see the female take the lead. But even though there were awkward moments, they flowed really well together and just enjoyed being together.
This was a fun addition to the series. Low on the angst, though there is some drama tossed in to the mix, but high on the heart and humor ~ Rome’s family is definitely one of a kind and I really enjoyed hanging out with Jack and Eliza and seeing how their own HEA was going. There were no real hints as to who could be getting a book next, though there are a couple I kinda hope never do (bad me) but, if you’re looking for a fun read where the sweet nerdy guy gets the girl, then this is a definite must click.
