~**~ ARC Review: Knocked Up By the Rockstar (Mile High Rocked #2) by Christina Hovland ~**~

***5 ‘Magnets’ Stars***

Oh Bax and Courtney. I was all set for full out war with these two…no joke, but instead I got a bit of angst, but a whole lot of heart and actual conversation…though that definitely came with a good dose of quirkiness in it’s own right…and simply fell a hell of a lot further in love with the Dimefront crew and those they call their own.

Courtney and Bax. I adored Courtney. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, is sweet and snarky. She has her moments, but she’s just a good person who had her world shift sideways and is simply figuring it all out. Bax, I adored him, but he also drove me a bit batshitcrazy. He’s a good guy, but he hasn’t figured out what he really wants. He thinks he knows and goes hard to get it, but is blinded to the various pitfalls in just how he going about getting what he thinks he wants.

Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. I’ll be the first to admit that I thought there would a whole lot more angst going on between Courtney and Bax. If you look at their relationship, it’s quite combative, add in the band and their respective families…and it could’ve been angst central. Instead, it was a more…I hate to use the word easy because it wasn’t…but maybe smoother than expected. As I said at the start, I just like the fact that they actually talked to each other and listened to what was being said. With that as a base, it was fun to watch them fall in love with each other and become more. Their bantering was hilarious, the chemistry was HAWT and I just loved them together.

This is a great addition to, not only the Mile High Rocked series, but Matched as well since we do get a bit of the crew in this one (Babushka ROCKS). I loved catching up with Linx, Becca and Gibson and I’m still all in with Tanner and Mach joining the crew. Hans and Chet need more page time :D And Knox…is Knox and I loved Irina..so bring on their book!

The only thing music publicist Courtney Lincoln dislikes more than knock-off sugary breakfast cereal is Dimefront’s lead singer—Brennan “Bax” Baxter. So when she discovers she’s pregnant following one teeny, tiny, mind-blowing morning with her nemesis, her world tumbles upside down.

Dimefront is on the rocks. Again. Bax is ready to move on. But following the implosion of his engagement, he makes a slip-up that ties him to Courtney as unlikely co-parents. He doesn’t like Courtney. Doesn’t care for how she’s able to see straight through the façade he’s painstakingly curated. But he’s always wanted a family and he’s being offered that chance.

Now the band is mending fences, there’s a baby on the way, and feelings start getting tangled. Maybe Bax isn’t really such a jerk? Perhaps Courtney could be the woman of his dreams? Or, maybe, just maybe, they were right all along…

OMG Knox…seriously. Let a woman “take him home, have her way with him, as long as she made him garlic bread?:”
