~**~ ARC Review: The Player Hater (Accidentally in Love #1) by Sara Ney ~**~

***4.5 Stars***

This was a fun read, not that I’m surprised by that, it’s just fact. I was hooked from the start and when I tried to “put it down” I couldn’t and instead found a way to read it while still doing that work thing. I ended up loving both Juliette and Davis in equal measure and I also found myself highly annoyed, but not at the main characters ~ strange, I know, but it’s the truth. And I found that I really didn’t want to say good-bye to Juliette and Davis (and am happy that I won’t have to…at least not fully).

As I said already, I loved Juliette and Davis. Both are really good people, with big hearts, but where one is a bit more open to things, the other is a bit more wary. Both have their own brand of honesty and they give as good as they get. Their journey to their HEA was a fun and interesting one, considering the circumstances, but in the end, I really liked how everything worked out for them.

This was a fun, light on the angst, with just enough craziness to keep things interesting kind of read and a great start to a new series. As for the reason I was annoyed…unfortunately I can’t get into it, but it is a total “It’s not you, It’s me” situation (then again maybe it’s not and others will agree with me) but regardless. Something just rubbed me the wrong way…but I still loved Juliette and Davis and am totally looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in the series!

I would do anything for my best friend.

Well. Almost anything.

When she begs me to come on a weekend getaway so I can bond with her new boyfriend, I can’t say no—no matter how badly I want to. After all, who will keep an eye on the guy; he’s your stereotypical, professional football player (emphasis on PLAYER) and I don’t trust him with my friends heart.

Worse? He has the nerve to bring his single best friend Davis on the trip, too. Davis is too handsome, so funny and smart he can’t possibly be human. Grandma’s, babies and kittens all fall for his smile.

In fact, everyone adores but me **narrows eyes** What’s he hiding?

I refuse to fall for his act; at some point he’ll will drop the Good Guy act and show his true colors: he’s a player, too. He must be.

You know the saying: if he seems too good to be true, he probably is.
