When you are getting teary and sniffly at the end of a book, but knowing that there is more to come, you know it’s been a great read. And this baby was a great read from start to finish. It was fun, smexy and totally pulled at the heartstrings and has me wishing that the next one was already on the Kindle!
Straight up, I love and adore Ryan and Jameson. I know that’s a statement and I don’t typically make them when reviewing the first book in a duet, but how could I not fall for both of them? They may be opposites in almost every way, but they both have huge hearts and love hard. Their journey, thus far, has been a lot of fun, especially with how they kept colliding. The chemistry between them is undeniable and I cannot wait to see just how GQ will get the grump to open up even more. And as for that “ending” as frustrating as it was, it was the perfect place to pause their journey.
I’ll readily admit that I am a fangirl of the authors, and this book just reinforces why. The writing is engaging, the story is well paced and the characters are three dimensional and always have me wanting to know more about them. This one does have a trigger or two in it, but they are necessary for the story and the growth of the characters and handled well…But now, we wait…patiently…for the next book to come out!
