~**~ ARC Review: Those Three Little Words by Meghan Quinn ~**~

***4 ‘Team Eli’ Stars***

Okay. Not gonna lie, my head kinda hurts from the whiplash these two put me through, but I will say that in the end, I did enjoy this chaotic, crazy, sweet, awkward, heartbreaking and heart melting story…but the head kinda hurts.

Eli and Penny. I liked these two, I really did, well, I adored Eli and really liked Penny, but man did they put me through the wringer. Eli is a charmer, he is the self proclaimed player of the team, but he’s got his demons and despite his statements against commitment and anything deeper than friendship, the man does care deeply when you are his. Penny is a little bit of everything ~ sweet, snarky, awkward, shy ~ and I was here for it, but she had this one little tendency that kinda drove me batshitcrazy, so there were moments with her, but she was still a great person.

Their journey to their HEA is legit craycray, hence the whiplash, but when they stopped being ‘awkward’ ~ and stopped having conversations with themselves in their heads instead of each other ~ I really liked them together. They had great flow, banter and chemistry and I am glad they figured things out in the end.

While Eli and Penny may have tried me, I still enjoyed their story and the reason for that was their friends…well, most of their friends, Pacey ~ whom I adore ~ tried me as well. But I loved getting to spend more time with Taters, Holmes and Posey ~ OMG Posey is awesome!. Winnie was great and I freakin’ adore Blakely. So, bring on the next book in the series!

I knocked up my best friend's sister.

Figured I would get straight to the point because how it happened is a mere snippet of the story I have to tell. The real meat and potatoes is what happened after.

Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news . . . together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting and then BAM! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist.

It wasn't pretty.

Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Given how much I've pined for the girl, you would think that wouldn't be a hardship.

Wrong.

This is my one shot to win my teammate back. Pacey is the only family I've got, so hooking up with his sister isn't a mistake I can make twice . . . despite the fact that she's pregnant with my child.

But with every mood swing, every pair of pants that doesn't fit right, and every late night run to find the perfect donut, I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Especially when she kisses me...
