~**~ ARC Review: Storm Echo (Psy-Changling Trinity #6) by Nalini Singh ~**~

***5 ‘Today and Tomorrow and Always’ Stars***

This right here is why I’m a full on fan girl of this series. The storyline, the characters, how the author keeps all the various and numerous connections straight while making new ones…all of it kept me turning the pages and had me doing a re-read as soon as I finished because it was just that damn good and I didn’t want to say good-bye.

I adored Ivan and Lei. Ivan being a Mercant is already a vote in his favor ~ because who doesn’t love the Mercants? ~ his loyalty to family and need to protect, not only his family but he found a very interesting kinship with was a huge draw. Lei was light, happiness and a sweet sassyness that had me smiling, even when her light was dimmed due to an extreme loss. Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun to experience. I loved how they first collided and the connection it started between them. And while their second collision was not as joyous, it only strengthened the bond between them and as they got to know each other, helped to heal the wounds from their pasts.

LOTS goes on in this one. I loved how Lei’s back story is connected to an incident that happened in a previous book, but was not touched upon until now and gave me a sense of, not closure, but a slice of life type of thing where we get to catch up with where everyone is at. The whole Scarab Queen thing is intense ~ though I will say that it’s nice to know that my guess about who the Queen/Architect is was correct ~ but I like how things are playing out. And then there are the various characters we get to meet and hang out with in this one. The Mercants have become some of my fav characters ~ Ena is AMAZING ~ as are their paramours  ~ Pasha is awesome. But getting to spend time in DarkRiver again was like a homecoming, especially with the twins. But now to wait for the next installment because..WHOA…the crazy just got amp’d up a whole nother notch.

I must give thanks to Berkley Publishing for the opportunity to read an ARC. I typically do the audiobooks on release day, so this was a treat ~ though I cannot wait to hear Angela Dawe bring this one to life!

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh takes us into the hearts of two fractured people in a world on the brink of a psychic Armageddon . . .

Silence has fallen. The Psy are free to feel emotion. Free to love. But Silence was never a prison for Ivan Mercant. The biggest threat to his future lies dormant in his brain—a psychic monster that wants only to feed. And now, the brutal leash he’s kept on that monster is slipping. He prepared for this day, for the end of Ivan Mercant . . . but that was before he met Lei.

As primal as she is human, this wild changeling brings color into his life, laughter to his soul. Then the dream shatters in a rain of blood, in silent bodies in the snow. Lei is gone. Vanished without a trace . . . until he meets strangely familiar eyes across a busy San Francisco street.

Soleil Bijoux Garcia is a healer who has lost everything. She exists in a world of desolate aloneness . . . till the day she finds herself face-to-face with a lethal stranger. The animal who is her other half knows this man, but her memories are tattered fragments. Sorrow and a need for vengeance are all that drive her. Her mission? To kill the alpha of the DarkRiver leopard pack.

But fate has other plans. Soon, a deadly soldier who believes himself a monster and a broken healer might be all that stand between life and death for the entire Psy race. . .
