***5 Stars***
I knew going in, that this book would be intense and brutal, and it was on all fronts. But it was also a beautiful, if not frustrating, love story that kept me turning the pages until the bitter end.
I freakin’ adored Colby and Sariah. They frustrated me to no end in equal measure, but they definitely kept things interesting. Colby is all kinds of stubborn and determined alpha male. At times it was a bit OTT for me, but he has a certain charm and way of seeing who a person is at their core that softened his neanderthal tendencies. Sariah is fierce, blunt and loyal and when she decides on something, she goes all in ~ even if it may be detrimental to her safety. Her journey was brutal, but in the end she came out stronger than ever.
To say that Sariah and Colby’s journey was a lesson in frustration is an understatement, but with two such strong and independent personalities colliding, there was no other way it could be. The chemistry between them was crazy strong and despite all the push/pull and the rocky road they had to travel, they were perfect for each other. They saw beneath each others facade’s and when push came to shove, they found not only a soft and safe place to land, but a place where they could find the strength to keep moving forward.
This book is a great addition to the series. The triggers abound, but they are all necessary for the growth of the characters and their journey but within the darkness, there is hope and determination and whole lot of heart that comes out of it. As for the SoT crew, it was fun to catch up with every and see how they are all doing in their various relationships, but Hades is still my fav of the bunch, especially after this book…but now it’s time to practice patience until the next book is announced to see who will fall to cupids arrow and the chaos it will cause everyone around them.
Note: This book intersects with Wilting Violets (Elden and Violet).

She survived the deadliest serial killer of her generation.
Or so everyone thought.
No one knew how many pieces of her he took to the grave with him. She hid her scars, her nightmares. She hid everything until she couldn’t.
Then she ran.
But Colby followed her.
He’d follow her to the ends of the earth. To hell and back. Sariah knew he would…
Because Colby had already wrenched her out of hell once.
Because Colby loved her.
Only Colby loved the girl she was before. The carefree girl she used to be.
She had to show Colby that girl was gone.
By any means necessary.
